USC true freshman quarterback Ricky Town, a 4-star recruit has left the USC program prior to the start of the fall semester and will transfer to another school. Since he left before the start of classes, he can redshirt 2015 and be eligible to play fall of 2016.

He has reportedly enrolled for fall classes... wait for it... In Laramie.

Town originally verballed to Alabama.

Waiting for official confirmation, but enrolling in Laramie is the only rumor out there.

This is incredibly exciting news if it's true...where in the story does it mention anything about Town coming to Wyoming? Unless I simply missed it...has Gagliardi or Holmgren made any mention of this?

*IF* that rumor is true, I gather that it's a no brainer he redshirts this season. I wonder if there would be an announcement tomorrow?

A rumor? A rumor from whom? Andy down at the Loaf & Jug?

If he did transfer to Wyoming - well - good for us! Looks like a good get. We need a good solid quarterback. Someone needs to get this guy out mountain biking, fishing, snowshoing, and hiking to get him into the lifestyle!

Note to Dino - you have to go down about 5 pages of comments to see the single Laramie comment.

What is weird is there are two threads on this today.

Okay here it is...it's not from Andy down at the Loaf & Jug, instead, it's from 'Bill', from...well, we don't know

Bill 15 hours ago 2 15
I hear he is going to the university of Wyoming, enrolled in classes on Saturday.

If Bill is correct, and Towns did enroll this past Saturday, would that cat not have left the bag by this point?

He's a classic po-style QB - just the type Bohl wants. Not many places for Pro-style QBs these days with the Spread. Only other rumor I've heard is Florida because the kid knows Nussmeier. Florida does have question mark at QB this year.

SO it wasn't Andy at the loaf and jug but Bill from yahoo comments

I hope it's true but I can't take that as a true source. Until I see a legit source I will not believe the hype. :D

For whatever it may be worth at this point, I've scanned the Internet and have seen several other comments from people indicating that Town is heading to Wyoming. For whatever its worth...

That's why it's called a rumor. Think about it. The kid fell from 5-star as a junior to 4-star as a senior. He originally committed to Alabama, which was a good fit for his game and then got lured to switch to USC, in a system that didn't favor his game. They recruit another 4-star after he signs, who reportedly outperformed him at apring camp and are also close to signing a 5-star for 2016. Does he risk going to a Florida, where he may not have a shot to play for a couple years, or go to a mid-major where he can step in and likely play for 4 years in a pro-style offense?
