Boise vs. Wyoming Game Thread

Yep, Acs was sacked a bunch, how many times was that a dumb option read play or because acs wasted time moving around behind the pocket. I sas leanord open every play so wr are open (Mazi o. was open every other play). I blame this whole perfomance on DC and his coaches. I have faith in DC and I still believe we get six to seven wins and go bowling but DC needs to fix up his coaching situation or we are fucked.

What game were you watching them? I would see the Boise D-line plow right through the O-line before ACS get look to see if anyone was open. And if he was able to get out of that death trap called a pocket, then he would have 4-5 guys zeroing in on him. A couple times he was able to throw the ball, but most of his passes were completed by dumb luck.
 
Im not disagreeing that the o line needs work but I doubt they improve much this year. They are the best we can do, but I have to say that our coaches and acs can notice that bsu is loading the box and they don't change the play. Has Acs called an audible this year? Has Arroyo called a timeout when it is apparent that a run play won't cut it and that the option read is the wrong choice? These are things that can be fixed so, I do see more wrong in these areas compared with our o line which is what it is.
 
Boise is just pretty damn good. I don't think we can hang with this caliber of a team this year. I've put together some stat comparison of the last few games, but I can't make them look good on this site.

Boise shut down our rushing game (if you think we had a rushing game before). -21 yards. We had averaged 47 yards over the previous two games.

They killed us on time of possession. 3 turnovers is horrible. We did alright on yards per pass, and were killed on completions. Only 135 yards of offense compared to Boise's 648.

We had problems on offense and defense. ACS was getting killed behind the line. There were plenty of receivers open but he never had a chance to find them. Boise loved it when we ran the ball.

Boise rushed for 275 yards and passed for 373. They basically did whatever they wanted when they were on the field. I think that basically sums up the defense.

That's about all I can make of this game. Can't get too attached to it.
 
Sorry about the score Pokes but, due to the system we play in, BSU didn't really have a choice but to run up the score a little bit. Much respect to your Cowboys and their never say die attitude and style. Tough bunch of guys you have there. Good luck the rest of the way Pokes !

Thanks for that. There were a few BSU fans last night that were very friendly and then there were some I really wanted to curbjaw.
