Boise vs. Wyoming Game Thread

Grace shines it's light on us. Fumble, recovered by Pokes. Pokes, please drive this one in there!

WyotoDal,

Even though the results of the game are pathetic, I really appreciate the time, effort & expense you put forth to bring Wyoming sports to those of us without access.

Thank you!

The only way this season turns around is if DC starts calling plays, and if Marty English is fired.

Agreed, huzzah!

If there is a way to help defray costs, let me know.

One positive out of this - with a little bit more luck and less stupidity, we could've had 4 interceptions (actual interception, interception reversed by roughing the passer, dropped interception in the endzone, dropped interception on the first drive by the sideline) and 3 fumble recoveries.

One day we'll learn to tackle...

but the biggest issue remains: ACS has no protection whatsoever. I'd trust our secondary as an o-line better than our actual o-line.

Well, only thing to do is get drunk tonight!

The only positive I see out of this mess is our punter looks pretty damn good.

Tackling! Without a doubt, the worst three game stretch I have witnessed by the Pokes. Something is obviously wrong and I am sure the coaches have been preaching about it every week. The only thing I can see is the schematic change to the 4-3.

Gawd, now the scrubs score on us. Half a century.

Cracking a Coors Light now.

you haven't already? I've been through 2 Dump Trucks and a double Bloody Mary.

Nope, was 'on call' for duty at Arlington until 11pm. Am now out of uniform and soaking my head in Rocky Mountain Spring Water.

Not sure if anyone saw it but Southern Utah nearly beat San Jose State tonight.

Well, what do you think? Are we falling apart or is it only the schedule?

I'm officially on the fire Marty English bandwagon. He's going to cost us a lot of winnable games.

Well, one thing you have to remember - it doesn't really matter whether you lose by 1 or by 50, it's still exactly one loss. Hopefully this game didn't expose too many new weaknesses to future opponents, as a lot of what happened was us shooting ourselves in the foot. Apart from the o-line, that is.

More then happy to bring the games to those without access if sometime my computer dies and it needs repairs to keep streaming that would be the only time you would see me asking for donations otherwise I'll stream them all year long.

Hope we learned from these 2 hard loses and really bring it to AFA!

I miss watching quality football in the Treasure State. This game was pathetic. I thought WYO might struggle during this part of their schedule, but this is horrendous. I thought they'd have 5-6 wins, but judging by the way they've played, 2 wins would be a mircle.

The Rebs getting pounded by Idaho. Seems the WAC owns us this year. WTF?

I hope we get six wins but, with an improved SDSU unit on the field, it is going to be a rough ride. Especially if we don't start wrapping up. The pass protection should get a little better with the remaining teams on the schedule (minus TCU and maybe Utah).

BYU may be winnable too, they have been unimpressive since Washington (and even that was not too hot).

I've been trying to decide which game to get back for and will now start planning for the Border War. If we are lucky and eke out the wins, it is likely that game will determine a bowl or not.

I don't think it's just the schedule. Team speed seems lacking, no big bruisers anywhere and there doesn't appear to be much of a plan. If something positive doesn't happen soon, morale wise, it's going to be a tough year. I'm afraid Air Force is a make or break game. And Air Force sounds like they have a great team.

I think we have talent but for fucks sake can we our coaches call a play besides the option read. Can we blitz five man ever, can we stunt blitz once a game. Dave please do something and take over the play calling Marcus Arroyo is cockhillish in his playcalling. Sorry Marty you got to go, you have done a horrible job this year and a subpar last year. I'm glad Marty and Fanoga recruited so well this year :willybs: Kurt T. & BJ have helped out a bunch this year.

This year's defensive look-and-feel remind me of Koennig's offensive look-and-feel of yesteryear -
predictable and unimaginative.

Good lord that was hard to watch. We need to STOP sitting in zone all day and at least TRY to jam up their recievers a few times. Not to mention something called BLITZING!? GAH!

And the running, ooh, that was bad. We had NEGATIVE yards running! NEGATIVE! When the option reads don't work the 12th time you do it in the 3rd game, DON'T FREAKIN DO IT! Do draws, counters, or off the tackles, but if the option plays aren't working, THEN DON"T DO THEM!

And my main problem, that O-line. I swear the little annoying kids that were right behind me could get past them. ACS ran the entire night, and most of the time was unsuccessful because of complete breakdown along the line.

I actually didn't see the o-line as the main problem, again I am gonna blame play calling. Yep, Acs was sacked a bunch, how many times was that a dumb option read play or because acs wasted time moving around behind the pocket. I sas leanord open every play so wr are open (Mazi o. was open every other play). I blame this whole perfomance on DC and his coaches. I have faith in DC and I still believe we get six to seven wins and go bowling but DC needs to fix up his coaching situation or we are fucked.

PS. I have faith and I think DC will make a change.
