Boise vs. Wyoming Game Thread

Apart from not being able to give ACS any time at all, I've also noticed that they quite like stepping right into the escape lanes that he's picked, forcing him to either run backwards or trapping him completely.

I think we'd be better of with the average high school offensive line.

The sad thing is that I don't think Broncos will stop piling this on until they hit 60+ points.


Also. #2 Team in the nation? Pretty sure no polls have Boise higher than 3rd, and they've fallen in the computer rankings.

Which is exactly why I see them running the score up they have to make a statement they have a very easy schedule.

You nailed it.

Herbstriet was right on the money when he was talking about 'style points' after the VaTech game. If you caught the TCU game today, Dalton stayed in late and GP didn't take the foot off the gas for quite some time. Both Peterson and Patterson have QB's who are getting Heisman buzz and looking for an MNC game.

Boise is probably going to try and hang 100 on the Beavers just to get the shared competition edge.
 
Sorry folks -- you are looking at a preview of the season. Four wins max. The CSU game will be the only game CSU will think they can win. They won't - barely.

Improvement will only occur if better players on the offensive line can be recruited - AND/OR - a better offensive line coaching staff can be recruited.

Considering Wyo has a very strong SOS this season I'm not really surprised what the outcome could be as we saw last week and tonight we are lacking in a number of places and until ACS has a pocket and our D learns to tackle it's something we will have to live with.

How the hell does Boise do it? They have something like 34 players from Idaho on their team. And, they have been doing it since before they were national darlings so I'm not sure one could account for that as the 'recruiting edge'. Ive been to Boise, many times, it isn't miles beyond Laramie (although I am biased). We always seem to struggle with getting O and D lineman (especially O). I know the spread O is supposed to give you some wiggle room with undersized lineman (due to speed of play) but the coaches must be having real trouble recruiting hawgs for the trenches.

I thought the 4-3 was going to be a disaster for us but, they did pretty well against Texas. Tonight, we are getting shredded and, IMHO, Boise doesn't have the same caliber of athletes that Texas has.

I hear DC gets pretty heated in the locker room. I imagine there will be some red asses coming onto the field at the start of the 3rd.

I'm not to sure I could agree Texas having higher caliber players then Boise at this time I would definitely say Boise is a much stronger team then Texas.

Maybe it is a push, I will agree that Boise's O is better (experience and longevity) but, Texas's D is better.

They are having trouble with Tech right now so maybe not monumentally better but they seemed faster to me.
 
Should have had him down on the 4 tackling is so awful still I really hope they work on that more!
 
Boise recruits Northern Cali and Oregon. And Arizona. Mostly Cali players on their team. Two Wyo guys. Dave and Matt Wilson from Powell.
 
Marcus Arroyo is doing a shitty job of play calling. I hope DC takes over play calling, and ACS needs to make better reads on the option. I still think we get six wins but I cant say that is improvement until we are able to run with a ranked team. Horrible game
 
Dave English sucks to. Looks like he never paid attention to Breske, because he doesnt blitz. I thought our LB's were supposed to be good in coverage since they are converted DB's. I believe in DC but he needs to kick the shit out of his coordinators after tonight
