Anyone follow Trey Washington on Twitter?
Haha, you 2 are so cute
Shit. Just trying to watch the game and tweet my 2 cents and get lambasted by him and a high school coach. Shit. Apparently the Nance/twitter incident didn't really change the perception over there.

I just read the back and forth and I have to laugh at him and his coach. First off this Kentucky team was good but they weren't the best ever as they claimed. That 1991 UNLV team would spank this Kentucky team so them making that comment already tells me they don't know wth they are talking about. There were a few other teams that were better than this Kentucky team also.

Also just because you coach high school basketball and play on a college team doesn't make you a complete expert anymore than anyone else. As far as I am concerned until they can make a living off of handicapping sports they are no more an expert than anyone else and none of the commentators or coaches or players are able to do that. Only 5% of the guys who wager can do that. So him and his high school coach can shut the hell up

I thought when the tournament started there were two teams that could beat Kentucky and those two teams were Virginia and Wisconsin because of the style of basketball both played and sure enough Wisconsin got em. It was basically the same two teams from last years final four and Wisconsin was up on them by two last year until Harrison hit that 3 ball to get Kentucky the win by 1 so I don't see this as that big of an upset really.

Some people think they know it all and you just have to ignore them.

Haha yeah it got kinda weird in a hurry.

He probably remembers earlier in the year, when you we're saying that Wyoming doesn't have a "real offense" after two of our post players got mono. Don't be surprised, when you drop neg-bombs all over social media, if you aren't met with group hugs and fist pounds.

It amazes me that anyone that adamantly defends their right to be a douchebag, anonomously on social media, is shocked that the targets of his douchebagedness respond negatively to his posts. If your going to criticize them during their tough stretches and then jump on the bandwagon as they run through the conference tournament, why would you expect them to forget the negativity?

First off....How does me saying I think Wisconsin would beat UK all along have anything to do with the Cowboys or what you perceive as my "band wagon" fandom?

Secondly... My criticism during the year was just that, during the year. It was also during a point that they were playing like shit. If players coaches or Internet keyboard warriors cant see that the criticism was justified than maybe I'm wasting my breathe.

The convo last night had nothing to do with the season. I think the only person acting like a douche bag is you

So pointing out you're negativity makes me the douchebag. I get it.

I kind of thought that calling everyones attention to an argument you're having with Trey Washington about something meaningless on a public forum is a douchebag move. I'm glad I'm educated now that I'm the douchebag for not agreeing with you.

Why do you even follow those guys on twitter? I'm sure that Trey Washington didn't look you up and follow you. It was you that looked him up and followed him. I'm sure all the players on the team that get insulted every time they play bad are really happy that they added a bunch of followers, so they could hear about how bad they are when two of their post players are out with mono, or how stupid they are when they get into an argument about college basketball.

Just stop acting like we're all supposed to feel sorry for the guy that chased down the athelete on twitter so he could have direct access to anonomously insult him throughout the year.

He's didn't chase you down and follow you so he could insult you throughout the year. You're the douchebag. Don't get it twisted.

Do you get a lot of nose bleeds up there on your ivory tower? Gimme a break. I'm not asking anyone to feel sorry for anyone. If the fans are so terrible to the poor student athletes they can stay off social media just like anyone else. All I was interested in knowing is if anyone else saw the exchange. To me, the simpleton commoner, it's interesting how this team feels the need to talk shit to the fans they beg to support them. I never called out Trey Washington, I've never spoken to him, I've never interacted him in any way until last night. He may have room to be mad at someone for criticizing his play if he actually played.

You're not asking anyone to feel sorry for you. You're just taking a conversation on twitter and then drawing everyones attention to it on a different anonomous forum.

Again, let's remember the course of history, instead of the limited window you're drawing everyones attention to.

1. I'm 100 positive that Trey Washington didn't look you up and ask you if he could follow you. You chased him down.
2. The team got dumped on throughout the year by twitter douchebags, every time they made a mistake or had an off night.
3. Trey Washington didn't just post this crap on Wyonation calling our attention to the conversation he's having with Itsuckstobeacsuram. You're the one that drew everyones attention to it.

Athletes don't live in a vacuum. They hear, read, and are bombarded by this garbage all year long. It's not just one person, there are a lot of anonomous twitter "heroes". I'm sure he remembers the majority of people that dumped crap on him and his teammates this year on twitter, Wyonation.....Why do you act like there isn't a history of insults behind his reaction to you on twitter?

You're making a big deal out of nothing, he's not. He might have talked about this with his friends, but he certainly didn't post it on a public message board, asking for reinforcements from the rest of the spineless, anonomous, message board posters to pat him on the back for being an asshole.

First of all, I didn't chase anyone down. I was in a convo with someone else and Trey jumped in. I follow the players because, you know, I'm a fan. I like hearing the news and the info from the source. If the players can't hear criticism they shouldn't be playing the game. It goes with the territory. This notion that fans can only speak when we are in complete approval of the players is bullshit. If Trey wants to go on Twitter and act like a moron he best be ready for the repercussions. He's on there all the time airing out his drama. Cut the shit. If anyone actually went after hi, or any of them, for character or personal issues it would be one thing. But I have only speculated on the players game. It caught me off guard that he would be as brash and upfront because I have had no interaction or tweeted with him because he doesn't play...

What aren't you getting here?

I'm not getting why fans feel some god given, entitlement to insult a bunch of 18-23 year olds. Trey isn't a bad apple. He doesn't get into a bunch of trouble around campus and with the Laramie police. He loves the university of Wyoming and works his ass off for the Brown and Gold. He makes sacrifices for the team, the university, and the fans.

What gives anyone the right to insult our players? It's one thing if they're bad apples or they don't try. It's another if they have a clean record and work their asses off for us.

I understand that Wyoming has went a long time without winning a title. That breeds negativity.

Still, negativity doesn't help the team. We didn't win the MWC tournament because we had 7000 fans in the Thomas and Mack screaming insults at our players. We won it because we had 7000 fans supporting our team, getting behind them, and showing them LOVE.

If you can show how negativity and insults helps our team in anyway I'll shut up. The kids deserve our support, not negativity/insults/and knitting circle/bitch drama like your post earlier in this thread.

Being the drama whore that links you're conversation with Trey, might make you the most popular drama queen at the drama festival.

It doesn't help us win.

I don't get this entitlement feeling this team (and you apparently) that fans can only be supportive. The negativity against this team stemmed from their, at times, abysmal play. No body talked shit about Hank for his drug bust last season. No one talked shit on Cooke for his knocking a dude unconsious his first season here. We bitched because they played like shit at times. As fans that's our right. We live in a state with with a state funded university. We as fans pay for tickets and donations. We have skin in the game too. Just like poor trey doesn't want or deserve to be bombarded on Twitter, neither do I.

That's the part I don't get. Negativity doesn't help.

If a kid f's up and gets busted with pot he deserves to get a field of negative reactions. He earned that. He responded the right way and played for free. He gave his all for the team this year on his own dime.

DC knocked a guy out because of what the guy said to him. He has the right to defend himself and wasn't charged by the police. What Luke Martinez did deserved criticism.

To anonomously insult people that are working their asses off and giving their all for the university is sleazy. It's not their fault they aren't as good as some other players. It's not their fault if they don't shoot well one night. It's not their fault when two of their post players got mono.

Tell me one thing negativity helps, aside from your own hurt feelings and your "street cred". There isn't anything it helps. I want to win with class. That's what I care about. Fans being negative doesn't help that in anyway. Creating division in the team and fan base doesn't help us win. Stirring up drama doesn't help us win. Supporting our team is the only thing our fans can do, aside from donating money, that helps the team win. If you're being negative you are decreasing our chances to win. That's reality.

So bitch all you want and stir up as much drama as you want. I'm sure you and the rest of the drama queens will gain access to special drama queen bonus powers, but it won't help the team win. That's why I will defend them from anything that creates negativity. It decreases our chances of winning.

So keep bitching if you want, just don't expect everyone to jump onboard the "Let's all decrease our chances of winning" train. I'm not buying that ticket. I like to watch us win.

Ok dude. You're right. From now on I'll be good little poke fan and be supportive of 0 for 27 from the field from a senior starter. I'm sorry I have been so ruthless and out of line for wanting better.

What does it help? Is it going to help him get out of the shooting slump? No, it isn't. It's going to add more pressure and make it more difficult to get out of the slump. You bitching doesn't help. You cheering for him and supporting him until he does get through it helps. That's the hand we had, and by the way, when he was in his slump, he still locked down good offensive players, made all the hustle plays, and created key turnovers that propelled our team to a net cutting ceremony.

Stirring up drama and insulting people on social media might make you feel better, but it makes the players feel worse, and it makes it more difficult for them to succeed.

I want to win enough that I don't insult people, create drama, and pile pressure on top of people that are already struggling.

You add pressure to succeed. You create drama where it doesn't exist. You decrease our chances of winning. Congratulations. You might get elected as the V.P. of drama queens, but you aren't helping the team win.

You're the ultimate fan. Not that you're calling attention to yourself, I'll do it for you. Maybe next season we'll have to meet up at every home game and you can show me how to be as good of a fan as you

I'm definitely not the ultimate fan. I am smart enough to know that drawing attention to an 0 for 26 slump isn't going to help him get out of that slump. Drawing attention to the positive things he's doing is.

Keep bitching. You're drama queen crown is coming in the mail.

No bitching may not break the slump but kissing his ass and pumping sunshine didnt either. HE broke his slump. He worked through it. Not you, not me, no one but him. You can kiss his ass and sunshine pump and I'll bitch and moan and the cards will fall where they will.

No one is kissing his ass and pumping sunshine. I call attention to what he was doing well: playing defense, creating turnovers, hustling, and working his ass off. When I'm at the game, that's what I yell, "Good D Hank."

I simply chose not to spew garbage all over social media. When we lose, I take a couple of days off from the board aside from congratulating people on a good effort. You, under the heat of a bad loss, spew garbage for everyone to see.

You tell me what helps the team win, because there's a reason why athletes don't talk to other athletes about the 0 for 26 slump or the 8th inning no hitter: they know that making that fact conscious in their brains isn't going to help them break out of the slump or finish the no hitter.

I wan't to win. Until you can show me how your negativity and drama helps, I'll keep posting pictures of you. As soon as you prove how negativity helps us win, I'll start posting pictures of my sunshine pumping, ass kissing self.

Either way, don't expect you and the drama queen club to spout negativity and have everyone jump on board with it. Some of us would rather HELP the team win.

Just because I speak in the heat of the moment doesn't mean it's wrong. I'm not bitching in a forum because I am delusional enough to think it's going to change the course of history. Keep posting your pictures. You still haven't shown me how patting them in the head and cheering the mediocrity helped turn the play around either. How has your hand holding and "good games" helped the Cowboys win? Show me a direct correlation to your warm and fuzzies and the team winning. If you can I'll shut up and stay off your Internet forum until football starts

The 7000 fans supporting them is the reason why we won our first conference championship since 2002. Love and support makes you play better. If you don't know that, I'm guessing that you never played sports, which proves what Trey and his high school coach were saying to begin with.

Let me ask you a question. If it was your kid, would you post 0 for 26 nonsense on his twitter page? Would you create drama about him on Wyonation if what was your kid?

If so, b.s. If not, why not?
