I just read the back and forth and I have to laugh at him and his coach. First off this Kentucky team was good but they weren't the best ever as they claimed. That 1991 UNLV team would spank this Kentucky team so them making that comment already tells me they don't know wth they are talking about. There were a few other teams that were better than this Kentucky team also.

Also just because you coach high school basketball and play on a college team doesn't make you a complete expert anymore than anyone else. As far as I am concerned until they can make a living off of handicapping sports they are no more an expert than anyone else and none of the commentators or coaches or players are able to do that. Only 5% of the guys who wager can do that. So him and his high school coach can shut the hell up :lol:

It was basically the same two teams from last years final four and Wisconsin was up on them by two last year until Harrison hit that 3 ball to get Kentucky the win by 1 so I don't see this as that big of an upset really.

First of all, I didn't chase anyone down. I was in a convo with someone else and Trey jumped in. I follow the players because, you know, I'm a fan. I like hearing the news and the info from the source. If the players can't hear criticism they shouldn't be playing the game. It goes with the territory. What does it help? Is it going to help him get out of the shooting slump? No, it isn't. It's going to add more pressure and make it more difficult to get out of the slump. You bitching doesn't help. You cheering for him and supporting him until he does get through it helps. That's the hand we had, and by the way, when he was in his slump, he still locked down good offensive players, made all the hustle plays, and created key turnovers that propelled our team to a net cutting ceremony.

You add pressure to succeed. You create drama where it doesn't exist. You decrease our chances of winning. Congratulations. You might get elected as the V.P. of drama queens, but you aren't helping the team win.

I'm not getting why fans feel some god given, entitlement to insult a bunch of 18-23 year olds. Trey isn't a bad apple. He doesn't get into a bunch of trouble around campus and with the Laramie police. He loves the university of Wyoming and works his ass off for the Brown and Gold. He makes sacrifices for the team, the university, and the fans.

What gives anyone the right to insult our players? It's one thing if they're bad apples or they don't try. It's another if they have a clean record and work their asses off for us.

Still, negativity doesn't help the team. We didn't win the MWC tournament because we had 7000 fans in the Thomas and Mack screaming insults at our players. We won it because we had 7000 fans supporting our team, getting behind them, and showing them LOVE.

If you can show how negativity and insults helps our team in anyway I'll shut up. The kids deserve our support, not negativity/insults/and knitting circle/bitch drama like your post earlier in this thread.

I don't get this entitlement feeling this team (and you apparently) that fans can only be supportive. The negativity against this team stemmed from their, at times, abysmal play. No body talked shit about Hank for his drug bust last season. No one talked shit on Cooke for his knocking a dude unconsious his first season here. We bitched because they played like shit at times. As fans that's our right. We live in a state with with a state funded university. We as fans pay for tickets and donations. We have skin in the game too.
