#30 Wyoming @#28/29 UNLV

What a bunch if show boating douchers. I saw goggles and double guns and that was from just the two guys I saw plus one windmill from the bench.
 
They bump Washington with the body along the baseline every fucking time. Haven't called that shove yet.
 
I haven't been disappointed in the refs. Terrible foul called on Gilmore. Was about 3 seconds after the guy missed the shot. Terrible illegal pick called on nance.
 
Pokes are simply not good enough to give partial effort on defense and expect to be competitive with anybody in the MWC.

AFA will shoot us out of the gym if we play like this on Saturday.

What really surprises me though is how bad of a FT shooting team we have become. It has really hurt us in the last two road games (7-20 at FSU, and 5-9 so far tonight with two being the front end of 1 and 1's, so really 5-11 in terms of opportunity). That is totally within our control.

It sounds like an excuse, but I think this team really misses Martinez. His size and defense on the perimeter combined with this perimeter shooting (not to mention FT's) fit pretty much with what we are struggling with right now.

Truth. We still aren't very deep. Looks like Sobe should be playing more. Kid gives a lot of energy.

I'm just trying to figure out what we are doing on offense. I think Washington should take no more than 3 three pointers.

Not impressed with Gilmore's play the last several games. I think it's time for him to see some pine. Let Sobey play more, I think he's earned it, played really well tonight. Grabau, Adams, Sobey, Nance, Washington; can't be any worse than with Gilmore out there.

Not really an excuse, just the reality of losing your 2nd best player on a team that was already thin to begin with.

This team has to play perfect to be competitive on the road in the MWC.
 
Gilmore hurt us worse than BENNETT!! He is SO terrible.. He shoots WAY too often, WAY too early from three and never makes anything. Play ANYONE other than him. You would save 4 turnovers a game and 15 missed shots..
 
Is bet Gilmore would be a lot better if Washington was where he should be.... IN THE PAINT. Why is he taking that many
3's!?
 
Well when We only turn the ball over 6 times we should have a chance to win. The difference was they made 7-15 3 pointers and Wyoming was 3-18 i think with Leonard Washington shooting 8 of them. It would be okay with me if Leonard took a couple of 3's a game but when he is pulling up 8 times that is not good. Also Gilmore has been shooting over 42% from 3 and the last 3 or 4 games he is like 2 for 20. Shooting slump.

Not to worried about it though. UNLV is by far the most talented team in the league and I don't think anyone will beat them at Vegas this year in conference so losing tonight doesn't bother me. Wyoming will have a decent chance to beat them at home.

Just need to win our next two games at home.

Other than CSU going into Vegas and beating UNLV? There are other teams that will go into Vegas and beat UNLV but Wyoming isn't just going to struggle on the road. We are going to struggle everywhere anytime we don't have 4 players in double figures scoring.

Larry Shyatt is building a team and he already has my respect and regardless what happens from here on out as long as he is coaching here I know I will enjoy watching the Pokes!
