"[Tyrell Williams] didn't notice in recent games, has he been on the bench? I remember he wasn't on the bench for a game a couple of weeks ago due to "focusing on academics" which I thought was odd since it was about a week into the semester."

Often "focusing on academics" is code for other issues ... I am hoping Tyrell pulls it together--he has a great opportunity here at Wyoming with this coaching staff and I hope he realizes it.

Ugh, I hope this isn't Keonta Vernon all over again.
I was thinking the exact same thing. We could really use Keonta this season and will need Tyrell going forward. Lets hope Shyatt gets him reigned in, on track, and adjusted to the college education life.

Keonta isn't d1 material. Only around 6'6" and had zero outside game. and his crappy attitude about having to redshirt showed to me that he had a poor work ethic. Williams is an upgrade over Vernon, Herndon is an upgrade over haldorson. I don't miss either of them

I totally forgot about Halderson. Good riddance to both. While we seemingly eat out own as Cowboy fans, those who stick it out and put in the work will always be Cowboys. If you can't be a team player or can't put in the work, GTFO.

I wouldn't put those two together though. Vernon definitely didn't seem to want to be a team player and do the things necessary. I think Haldorson simply just didn't develop physically enough to compete at this level. We don't know for sure, but I don't think the team has any hard feelings towards Haldorson. Can't say the same for Vernon.

On the flip side, I think Vernon probably is a D1 player and will land back in the Big West/WCC/WAC/Big Sky after his stint at CSI.

Yeah I think Vernon can be a decent WAC or Big West guy.
And like you said I think the team liked Halderson but the dude never put in the really hard work in the weight room. He could have been awesome. A 6'9 wing player that can shoot the 3? Yes please.

I had the "opportunity" to see Haldorson play back in December at Fort Lewis College in Durango, I came away unimpressed. While he has decent size, he doesn't use it at all. He wasn't the #1 or 2 big man on his team.

The RMAC is actually littered with quite a few UW transfers, was fairly impressed by Shakir Smith at Adams State. Tyrone Marshall is now at CSU-Pueblo, he's good for D2, but has no game outside of 5 feet from the hoop; at only 6'8" he wouldn't be that impressive at D1.

This upcoming class has potential to be program changing. We may look back at this class as the class that changes everything. I think the way we've played the last two games I think we can compete immediately next year. The kids coming in look ready to play immediately.

Let's hope the staff follows up with another solid class for 2016. They have an offer out to Bryce Peters, a 6-2 Cali guard, who fractured his foot awhile back. More schools on the left coast are taking a hard look at him now, though. The staff apparently have offers out to four players from Colorado who were all recently ranked in the top six in the state: Dallas Walton (2), Alpha Diallo (3), Justin Bassey (4) and LaDarius Thomas (6). Diallo seems to be a main focus.

I would expect Conway to come in and be a nice change of pace to Lieberman at the point next year. As mentioned before, I also wouldn't be surprised to see James come in and push hard for a starting position on the wing at some point next season. Let's hope Marshall is a solid contributor from the wing, too. Moemeka and Naughton may be candidates to be "developed". We'll see. Two-to-three years from now, this 2015 class could be a pretty solid threat in the MWC.

Im curious what we do with 2016 too. I feel like we will be very picky since we only have one opening at this point. I suspect we will recruit 2 in the plan that someone will leave between now and signing day 2016. I think we will get 2 very good players. We have been getting better players each year here so I imagine we will continue.

Isn't Tacko Fall like 7'8"?

Very, very excited for the incoming class. I think there could be an all-time among them. Between James, Conway, Naughton and Moemka there is some serious talent.

Nice shot of James (#2) and Moemeka (#22) in the Tacko Fall picture above.

Yeah was going to say the fact he got player of the year in that league is some serious props. We got ourselves a good one.

James and Conway could be a lethal combo for us in the future.

I believe James is going to be an immediate impact player, Sure he could get a red shirt but it just seems like he is ready to step up. We won't know until he gets to the campus but we have a great incoming class. We lose some great senior leadership but I have faith in Adams through the good and the bad and all the adversity he will still come out as a leader.
