Pokes in the Pros: Week 17
- From UW Press Release - It may resemble directions on a shampoo bottle, but that’s the most appropriate way to describe what Josh Allen is doing. It’s rinse, lather and repeat. Allen made history in the Bills’ 40-14 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday, which locked Buffalo into the AFC’s No. 2 seed. His big game gave him 40 touchdowns in 2024, marking the fifth straight season of at least 40 touchdowns, and that’s the first time that feat has been accomplished in the history of the game. Allen’s final stat line Sunday was 16-for-27 for 182 yards and two touchdowns. He added 17 yards on five carries with another score. For the season, Allen is 307-for-483 for 3,731 yards with 28 touchdowns and just six picks, while adding 531...
Pokes in the Pros: Week 16
- From UW Press Release - It wasn’t his sharpest game of the season, but at this point in the season it’s more about the end result than it is a beauty contest. That result was a 24-21 comeback victory for Buffalo over New England. Josh Allen was 16-for-29 for 154 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He added 30 yards on six carries. For the season, the former University of Wyoming quarterback is 291-for-456 for 3,549 yards with 26 touchdowns and just six picks. He’s rushed it 97 times for 514 yards and 11 scores. Buffalo, which is 12-3, hosts the New York Jets in Week 17. The Bills still have a shot at the AFC’s No. 1 seed and are also closing in on locking up no worse than the No. 2 seed. Pokes in the Pros: Week 15
From UW Athletics: LARAMIE, Wyoming (12/17/24) – It was the most expensive ticket to date for an NFL game this season. It featured the hottest team in the league playing at home where they hadn’t lost all year. All eyes were on Detroit for its game against Buffalo on Sunday afternoon. And at the end of day, it’s all but a certainty that the Most Valuable Player in 2024-25 will be awarded to a former University of Wyoming student-athlete. Josh Allen was as sharp as he could be for the second consecutive week. He was 23-for-34 for 362 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran it 11 times for 68 yards and two more scores. Over the last two weeks, Allen had accounted for five passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns without a turnover...

-From UW Athletics- LARAMIE, Wyoming (12/10/24) – Buffalo didn’t extend its seven-game win streak Sunday, falling in a shootout at the Los Angeles Rams, 44-42. WyoNation Bracketology: Week 11
The Miami Hurricanes had their perfect season come to and end this weekend at the hands of Georgia Tech. Miami was in a prime position to grab one of the top four seeds in the twelve team playoff bracket now find themselves sitting in the unenviable position of playing a very good B1G or SEC team. Miami mounted a fourth quarter comeback but the Yellowjacket offense did just enough to ice the game. Huge win for the Yellowjackets. In other upsets this past weekend we had Georgia take a loss to Ole Miss. The Bulldogs still find themselves in the latest playoff bracket, but their road just got significantly more difficult. Their loss to Ole Miss helped the Rebels move up the rankings, but not quite enough to find themselves in the...
Wrestling Report: Wyoming vs Western Wyoming Community College
Good Morning, Wyoming Wrestling Fans, this is a report from Shea Foster. Wyoming hosted back-to-back NJCAA wrestling champions Western Wyoming Community College for the second year in a row. A couple of years ago Wyoming had a murders row at 165-HWT starting with Branson Ashworth; this year it starts at 125 Volk and runs through HWT. The dual started at 125 with some back and forth between Sefton Douglass (Wyoming kid) and Jore. Jore had Sefton on a front headlock and bounced his head to a go behind and a three to end the period 3-0. I am unsure if Sefton was trying for a duck under on Jore but somehow Jore disappeared behind Sefton and pulled him to the mat and the pin. 133 Stockton O’Brien (Utah Valley transfer) came in and was...
