One former University of Wyoming Cowboy helped pull off the biggest upset of Week 1 in the National Football League. Another former Poke did the same thing in Week 2.
Defensive end Carl Granderson was everywhere in New Orleans’ 24-17 road win at Baltimore on Sunday. He boasted five tackles, one tackle for loss and logged a blocked field goal.
Granderson, on the season, now has seven tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, a quarterback hit and a blocked field goal for the 1-1 Saints. New Orleans hosts Las Vegas in Week 3.
Below is a list of all the former Wyoming Cowboys and how they did in Week 2.
Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)
Allen was magnificent again, as Buffalo opened new Highmark Stadium with a 41-31 throttling of Detroit on Thursday. Allen was 20-for-31 for 248 yards and three touchdowns. He added 69 yards on 14 carries via the ground with an another two scores.
For the season, Allen is 40-for-60 for 572 yards with five touchdowns. He’s also rushed it 20 times totaling 92 yards with four touchdowns for the 2-0 Bills.
Buffalo hosts the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3.
Marcus Epps (Philadelphia Eagles)
Epps had a solid day in Philadelphia’s 24-20 win at Tennessee. He made two tackles.
For the season, Epps has recorded nine tackles for the 2-0 Eagles.
Philadelphia travels to Chicago in Week 3.
Andrew Wingard (Arizona Cardinals)
Wingard enjoyed a strong game in the Cardinals’ 31-7 loss to Seattle. He registered eight tackles and one tackle for loss.
For the season, Wingard has registered 12 tackles, three tackles for loss, one pass defended, one interception and one forced fumble for the 1-1 Cardinals.
Arizona travels to San Francisco in Week 3.
Treyton Welch (New Orleans Saints)
Welch played in the Saints’ 24-17 win at Baltimore. He participated in 12 snaps, five on offense and seven on special teams.
For the season, Welch has played in 28 snaps, 15 on offense and 13 on defense.
New Orleans hosts Las Vegas in Week 3.
Frank Crum (Denver Broncos)
Crum has begun the season in Denver on the injured reserve list. The Broncos defeated Jacksonville, 20-13, to move to 1-1 on the year.
Denver hosts the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3.
Caden Barnett (Chicago Bears) and Evan Svoboda (Los Angeles Chargers) are both on their respective team’s practice squads. John Michael Gyllenborg (Kansas City Chiefs) suffered a season-ending injury in fall camp.
