WYOMING v. NEVADA

Where did they find these referees? They were lost that entire game. The travel called on Dalton cost Wyoming that game.

More ups and downs. We are in a down cycle now after the up cycle last Saturday

Oh well. On to the next one. Will be like this the rest of the season.

Have you ever seen a team like this? It literally loses to every team it should beat and beats every team it should lose to. I have never seen such an inconsistent team in my life.

Ugly...

Herndon couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and has hands of stone. Lieberman and Mac were out of place or overmatched on defense. Very frustrating coming off the win at the Pit.

One other thing, our offensive "sets" we're wretched. Dribble around and take a wild assed three or off kilter two...

I get tired of our team running 20 seconds off the clock and jacking up long range bad 3's. We go through long stretches of 4 or more minutes where we never even try to go inside the 3 point line. I really hate that as the offensive strategy. The games we win are where we have a more balanced attack and not just all long range 3's

Jason, Herndon, Lieberman, and Washington were all physically overmatched on defense. Just can't understand why James, Naughton and Marshall didn't get more minutes when Jason and Lieberman can't guard or box out their guys.

WE built that nice 9 point lead in the second by doing this. Get the ball inside for easy ones and if it wasn't there they were able to draw defenders then pass out to the perimeter for wide open shots. Frustrating to go away from that

If this program ever wants to have big crowds again it has to stop losing to inferior teams at home.
Be interesting to hear if Shyatt wants to talk about his "critics" tonight.

Not really sure what you guys expect? We have the 4th youngest team in the country. Going to be like this the rest of the year so everyone should get used to it. Actually everyone should already be used to it and expect this.

Next year will be better.

Nevada isn't an inferior team. They are just as good as Wyoming. Lots of parity in the conference this year.

Marshall isn't getting more minutes because he is out of place on defense. As far as Naughton and James go I have no idea.

My comment had nothing to do with the inconsistent play. And he's right, we will never average over 10,000 at home losing at home to teams like Fort Lewis, Southern, and Nevada. Those are games you have to win at home. HAVE to.

I don't disagree but you aren't going to win games as much a home or on the road when you have as many freshman and sophomores as we do.

As good as Josh is I think part of this team's problem is they stand around and defer to him too much sometimes also. So that hurts the offense.

I thought the the '13/'14 pokes team had a small margin for error...this team has a razor thin margin.

As far as attendance is concerned...not much you can do but keep chopping wood...Wyo has had a good home court advantage over the years. I doubt that will go away soon....win a lot at home and the crowds will be there.

The guys that played tonight are not that young. Josh is a senior Mac a junior Herndon redshirt sophomore. Jeremy and Gorski sophomores.

I agree completely. We are at our best when he scores in the high teens/low twenties and we have two or three other guys at or close to 10 points. When we have to rely on Josh wholely, we struggle. I love this team and appreciate their no quit attitude and their fight, but sometimes their youth clearly outweighs that. This year will be tough, but the years to come are going to be great. Holmgren wrote a great piece earlier this week and said that "this team has a number of red flags, but not one single white flag." There isn't a better way to describe them.

I hate losing. I hate seeing this team go through these games where they let the win get away. They never quit and they will get better.
