Wyoming Cowboys in the Pros

What Pokes do we have in the pros?

I saw Malcolm Floyd tonight vs. Seattle. Looked really good, catching everything that came his way. At least 50 yards receiving. Updates on anyone else?

Casey Bramlet just signed with Atlanta and Aaron Elling was resently released by Atlanta, but has signed with Jacksonville.

Good to hear about Bramlet. He had a pretty successful year over in Europe, and should have gained some pretty good knowledge playing behind Kitna and Palmer in Cincinnati.

Here is what I coud find of former Cowboy who are in camp with NFL teams.
  • Tean/ Player POS #
    San Francisco 49ers
    1 C.J. Brewer WR 14

    Minnesota Vikings
    1 Chase Johnson OT 75

    Buffalo Bills
    1 Corey Mace DT 69
    2 John Wendling FS 29

    Tampa Bay Buccaners
    1 Jovn Bouknight WR 1
    2 Patrick Chuckwurah LE/DE 54

    Baltimore Ravens
    1 Derrick Martin CB 29

    Atlanta Falcons
    1 Casey Bramlet QB 16

    Jacksonville Jaguares
    1 Aaron Elling PK 4

    St.Louis Rams
    1 Adam Goldberg OG 73

    San Diego Chargers
    1 Malcom Floyd WR 80

Hey, good info, Wayne. Looks like the Cowboys are representing well in the NFL. Any info about any of them making squads? Chukwurah shouldn't have any trouble making the team in Tampa after a successful run in Denver. Bramlet should stick as Vick is gone for the season. Floyd is a solid #3 or #4 receiver.

I think Goldberg will make the Rams he was there last year after being traded from the Vikings. Chuckwurah will make the Bucs and may replace Rice at starting DE if he can beat out there 1ST round draft pick Gaines Adams. Wendling should make the Bills roster as a special team guy from what I read. Floyd has been with the Chargers for a few years now and I can see no reason for that to change. Martin did not see a lot of time last year in Baltimore and I don't folow them enough to know his status with the team. Brewer was a suprise to me and only found out that he was with the Niners this week. Elling keeps getting shots in camps and called during the season when injurys happen but can never stick with a team all that long. Bouknight, Jonson & Mace will most likely not make there teams. And lets all hope Casey makes the Falcons but I dought it because he was signed so late in camp.

Floyd has a couple catches tonight so far against Arizona.

Chukwarah with a tackle in Tampa.

Wendling with a tackle in Buffalo.

Elling had a PAT with Jacksonville tonight.

Jovn Bouknight was cut by the Buccaners today. It surprises me he is not catching on with someone this guy is a verry talented reciver you would think that he could at least make it with someone on special teams.

I'm sure a guy like him will end up somewhere.. CFL, Arena.. training squad with a team..

He did have a tackle in the last game though!

I just got my tickets to the Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay game here in Charlotte. Going to go support Patrick C. I am pumped, got front row behind Tampa Bench. I wish Jovon had made the team, that would have been sweet to have two Pokes on one squad.

From the NFL, Cowboys that were cut:

Casey Bramlet, Atlanta
Corey Mace, Buffalo
Aaron Elling, is injured with Cincinnati
C.J. Brewer, listed on the IR for San Francisco

I'm a little surprised at Bramlet being cut.. considering Atlanta is short handed this year, but apparently feel comfortable with Harrington and Redman behind center for this year.

See what happens when I read too fast! Regardless, he's outta there. Chukwurah, Wendling, and Goldberg are still safe.
