Wyoming at SDSU

Tuesday game. Quick turnaround. Not a lot of time to get down to San Diego. Think they are going today or tomorrow?
The Pokes have some momentum and even though the two games they just won were against Nevada and Fresno State, they have to be feeling good.
I hope Leonard can play. Adams needs to be ready to play some tough D on Franklin again.

I think the Pokes might be turning this season around, and SDSU seems like they are struggling. It is a perfect time to take one from them, and get the season sweep.

I think with the quick turnaround for the Tuesday game this will pay off for them as they are rollin right now!

I completely disagree with you.

SDSU will be ready to play. Viejas Arena is a tough place to play anytime, but the Aztecs will be especially focused given the two tough losses on the road last week. Add in the fact that the Aztecs will be looking for revenge for the loss to the Pokes earlier in the season and this game has all the makings of a blowout.

I wish I could say otherwise, but I will be surprised if the Pokes even keep this one close. I've seen enough of the Pokes in conference play to know that they are one of the 3 bottom teams in the conference this year. To think they can beat an athletic, talented SDSU team on the road can only be a conclusion reached by a Poke fan thinking with his heart rather than his head.

I mean, we did dominate sdsu the first time. If we play like that again....I don't see why we can't win.

I disagree on the blowout aspect of it there is not much chance I see of us losing by more than 10. I think SDSU is still vastly overrated and they aren't that great of a team. They have two players and all those two do is play for themselves make them frustrated and they will lose big. I think it will be a very tough game to win but I see it as being a pretty close game.

I think we've got a very good chance at the win. SDSU seems to struggle against our team. They beat us by 10 in a hard fought game in Laramie and then we took them to OT in San Diego. And obviously we whooped them this season in Laramie. I think with limited time between games they don't get enough practice to bounce out of their rut.
It will be a 5-10 point game I think, I just hope that we are on the winning side.

I actually agree with this more than anything. The only reason I could see for this not being a blow out is the fact that San Diego St. is coming off of 2 very big , emotional games so they could come out with a little bit of a hangover and flat. It's very difficult to get up for 3 straight games. I think with the fact that it is a home game for them with the crowd behind them will help to get them some energy and the fact that they only scored 9 points in the first half of the game at Laramie will be on their minds. Plus they have Thames back now and he didn't play the first game against Wyoming. They are a lot different team with him playing.

Wyoming for some reason seems to play decent in San Diego but I lean to this being more like the game against CSU than I do a game against Nevada or Fresno St.

I hope Wyoming hangs in there and gets the win but I think we will probably lose by double digits.

We were 7 pt favorites vs. Nevada and 11 pt favorites against Fresno st. Watching how poorly we played for most of the Fresno game does not give me a lot of hope. I agree with you Seattle. If the line is under ten, I will take SDS.

I don't see much chance of us getting blown out our style and slow pace makes us not get blown out besides the game against CSU but they are a much better team than SDSU. SDSU is not that great of a team everyone is just scared because of the name AFA and Boise are much better teams than they are I see it in between 5-10 point game with probably SDSU winning but I would give UW a 45% chance at winning.

I think that we could have played better against Fresno but you have to realize they have a very good D like we do. And the refs were just awful, making it so we couldn't close that gap. The fact that they did come back and beat Fresno in OT I think says a lot about the team and should be a huge confidence for the SDSU game.
Sobey is playing really well, Leonard is in Beast Mode again, hope he plays.

Our Pokes tend to play very well against the "quick, long, athletic" teams...but struggle against the "big bruisers". SDSU fits more into the first category than the last. If they refs keep the game from getting too physical, the Pokes have a chance. We will slow them down, frustrate them, and throw them off balance. Will that be enough to win on the road? I don't know. BUT we should give them some heartache to say the least.

Without Leonard Washington, I just don't see much chance at all. Maybe Adams goes Marcus Bailey and takes over the game (wishful thinking for a freshman).

This. I saw a report somewhere that said Washington was doubtful for this one. Sounds like he rolled up his ankle pretty badly in the Fresno game.

Without Washington then we don't have much chance, I was going off what Shyatt said that he should play tomorrow.

I really hope that tomorrow Leonard is ready to go.
If not...well I expect the Pokes to play an extremely slow and aggressive defense to try and get SDSU, especially Franklin frustrated.

I hope Adams can guard him like he did last time.

If Washington can't go, then I hope we start Cooke. Also, for the firepower, I think Sobey should start. Bring Grabau off the bench to spell Gilmore and Adams.

I think maybe Adams might need to go to the bench. I like him a lot, but he is strugglin lately. Then again, this isn't the NBA where players should get benched for that, he is afterall an 18 year old true freshman and that might shake his confidence. Not saying he is a big egotistical baby, but he is a kid.

I thought of that. But I think Adams at his best is better than Grabau at his best. Neither is shooting very well right now so having both of them in together is making for some very offensive offense.

This is why Sobey played 30 minutes in the last game, like he will probably do again doesn't matter who starts all will get lots of minutes including Sobey, finally.

Wait! Are you talking, the Adams who has scored in double figures in 2 out of the last 3 games? I thought he was doing a lot better, especially on D. Sobey has had one solid game, and that was the last one against Fresno.

he won't play and we'll lose it, I wouldn't play him until UNLV on saturday, he'll be ready then!!!! best to save him
