Wyoming at SDSU

If there was a game for Washington to miss it is this one. SDSU uses four gaurds and puts Franklin on the other big, I wouldn't be surprised to see Sobey or McManaman start and for us to go with four gaurds as well. I don't like our chances as much without Washington but the key if we are going to win is to frustrate Franklin and Tapley much like in the first meeting and they won't be able to score much. KansasCowboy Sobey has been playing pretty well the last two weeks and was very important in the Nevada and Fresno games not just in one game.
 
Sobeys D has been waaaay good lately. He fights through every screen and doesn't get punked. Him having confidence on the rise, needs to be guarding franklin.
 
I am getting super stoked for this game. Yes SDSU is the favorite but I was doing a little thinking and I say we have a real chance.
Yes we are 4-7 in MWC play, but not to play the would coulda shoulda game but we are 2 shots away from being 6-5 like sdsu and already having 20 wins. Boise buzzer beater, and NM hitting that game winner with 7 seconds left.
We are not a "bad team". We had a slump. We lost a star player and it has shown but we are not a crap team. Last time we played these guys, they never even had a chance against us. We dominated them start to finish.
We have recently gotten out of our slump winning 3 out of 4 and winning 2 straight. Yes we will be without Leonard but I believe we have the players that can step up. I am sick of the whole "sdsu lost 2 straight so they are mad". I think it is time for them to start slumping, and they didn't have much time from their saturday game to fix their problems. We will play a slow game and frustrate them on D and can pull this off. Just have to hit some 3s tonight.
Nance has to show he can take this team under his wing without Leonard. Tonights game might be a little preview into next year, seeing what it is like with Nance and Cooke.
Go Pokes, we win in a sloppy ugly crazy game, 51-48.

Also if we could have played better at home against AFA we could have won that game. Would lost that game as a result of bad scheduling IMO. That's not the only reason we lost it but I think it had something to do with it. If we had two more wins right now we would be squarely on the bubble for an at large bid.

Wish I was as optimistic as you for tonight. I think we will play hard but will probably lose. If we had Washington playing it would give me more hope. If we could win our next two games we would be back on the bubble for sure.

I agree. I'm not 100% sold we are going to win. I just think we have a legit chance to do this. I think SDSU is overrated.
I donno about the afa game, I just know that we are a couple game winning shots away from being 6-5 and fighting for a 3 seed in the mwc.

If we do win this, I am pretty confident about the UNLV game. Actually I am pretty confident about winning that anyways. I think to get into the dance w/out winning the mwc we gotta start with winning tonight, beating unlv saturday and then taking one against AFA in colorado springs. Hardest of those 3, is winning tonight. I guess we could swap winning tonight for winning in the Pit, but I don't think that one is happening.

Let's just hope we win this one.

Only if he gets Time Warner Cable Sports channel. The Wyoming website isn't streaming the game tonight and they aren't picking up the feed from San Diego St. either so someone would have to get Time Warner Cable Sports channel.

Only if he gets Time Warner Cable Sports channel. The Wyoming website isn't streaming the game tonight and they aren't picking up the feed from San Diego St. either so someone would have to get Time Warner Cable Sports channel.

He doesn't get TWC :( so he will be listening to the game and hoping that someone else somewhere in the US puts a stream up. The fact it's SDSU gives us a pretty good chance to see the game from a SDSU stream but god I hate their announcers.

One thing I really like about UW announcers is in most cases they call it right down the middle I've heard them say the Cowboys got away with one just as often as I hear them say we got robbed. Not a lot of announces do that and some really bad mouth the competition.

If you have direct tv, the game tonight is on channel 691. It will cost you; I'm sure glad I paid for the sports package though.
