Agree, Beaver. Our offense should be Larry dominating down low, Josh driving the ball finishing and creating, and Hank and Grabeu launching deadly three pointers, in that order.

And then when we need to, we need Grabau driving the ball just to get fouled, and bring Herndon and McManamen (and now Aka Gorski) to get us some points and shoot free throws when Cooke and Hank need to be off the floor.

Hankerson is pretty damn good at drilling the 3, but oddly is not very good at free throws. Not a combo you see too often.

Gagliardi column: UW men’s hoops should have big crowd Saturday (WyoSports.net)

New Mexico (13-6, 5-2 heading into Wednesday’s game at UNLV) has won the last three MW tourney titles and has finished no worse than second in the regular-season standings the last three years.

UW has not defeated New Mexico at home since 2011, and it has lost eight straight to the Lobos overall — including a pair of overtime games last season by a combined eight points.

Nance, UW feeling buzz as New Mexico game approaches

UW is hoping for its first home crowd of 10,000 since 2005, and possibly its first sellout since 2003. As of Thursday afternoon, around 2,500 tickets remained for the game.

Student attendance should be good as the spring semester starts Monday. Senior forward Larry Nance Jr. said the team is “starting to feel the buzz a little bit” about this game as students begin to come back to campus.

“Every time we play New Mexico it’s a big deal,” Nance said. “It will be fun to have some students at the game. We’ve had great support with he students off campus during the break. But now that they’re back it will be a whole new atmosphere with our student section.”

Senior center Matt Sellers leaves Wyoming men's basketball team

“After discussing it with our entire basketball coaching staff and team, Matt Sellers and his wife, Loren, have decided to move forward with their future plans and Matt will no longer be with the program," Shyatt said. "We wish him the very best and thank him for his three years of service. We’re proud both Matt and Loren are scheduled to graduate this spring.”

WHAT!?!?!?! Something seems off...Why would you go through all the early season ups and downs just to leave when the games matter...Ride it out and include your name on any accolades this team earns...

Quitting half way through the season. I don't quite get that

The dude is married, that adds a whole other dynamic to college sports and decision making. Plus, his time has gone down significantly. This just means we may get to see a little more of Barnes. Which sounds okay to me.
