Wyo @ CU

Wyo is 1-0
CU is 1-1
Both teams have their first win of the season over UT-Martin.
CU lost their season opener to #25 Baylor.
Wyo beat UTM 78-60 and CU beat UTM 91-65.

Wyo has beaten CU the last 2 years, but a lot of that was due to Leonard Washington.
Can the Pokes do it without Leonard "I'm a Grown Ass Man" Washington?

Against Baylor, CU's bench only scored 8 points but against UTM they put up 32 points.
I don't know if the big difference is because they were playing their starters most of the game against Baylor since they were losing, and in the UTM game they had a big lead so put in the backups.
Or if the bench just didn't produce anything in the first game and found their groove in game 2.

Scott and Dinwiddie seem to be the best players on CU.
Looks like we need to counter those two with Hankerson (Dinwiddie) and Nance (Scott).

This is the first time Grabau will get to play CU. He played in the game last season for a couple minutes but his knee was still hurt so he came out early in the first half and didn't play again. And he didn't play in the CU game his freshman year. Him being the kid from Boulder that CU overlooked, he is probably ready to play them. Will he be too amped up and play careless? Or since he is junior now, will he not let those potential emotions get to him?

And for Adams, this is his first trip back to the Coors Events Center since his State Championship, buzzer beating tip in.
Will he let old high school emotions get to him? He seems to be stuck in high-school mentality wise on twitter anyways. I hope he is calm and collected.

He did play quite a bit against CU last season, so hopefully it's just business as usual.

Score prediction?
Wyo 72-CU 68
Hankerson and Nance dominate the way, with Hankerson putting up 15+ and Nance getting a double-double.
A couple key late game drives and free throws is what decides it. Go Pokes! Beat CU, make it 3 years in a row!

And if it's on Pac12, maybe Wyo2Dal gets Pac-12 since he lives in Arizona (I think).

The Arizona Pac-12 is not the same as the Pac-12 network in colorado. They have Pac-12 Arizone while CU is on Pac-12 Mountain. Atleast according to this http://connect.charter.com/ShedLight/Story/Index/PAC12Network . That would be awesome if Wyo2Dal did get it though...

It appears that the quality of the CU bench goes quite deep. And fans are now big into basketball since the football team probably couldn't beat the Colorado 5A champs. Expect a near packed house for the game.

I got tickets on the cu website. The tickets were 22 dollars but about 30 rows off the court. Should be a very good game. We played great there 2 years ago.

Hey bladerunner!

I just watched SMU beat Rhode Island (89--58 I think). They also beat TCU Friday night (69--61 I think).
SMU scrimmaged Colorado and we were told by a player that SMU beat Colorado by 25 in the scrimmage.
So whatever all that means....I don't know but there are common games in Colorado and then SMU comes up to Wyoming.

New polls out. CU got votes. Ranked 32nd.

I hate to say this - but I don't think UW can compete with CU right now (at this point in the season).

Hope I am wrong, but I could see a CU 20 point win.

I don't. I see a 5 point game, either way. I want to say us obviously but i think its close

i went 2 years ago to that barn, vowed to not ever go back, but I don't see us showing as well on Wed, sure hope I'm wrong but I don't see it yet, CU 82 UW 69....sorry
and I loved the game on Friday....we are deep for a change, just gotta get game knowledge etc..

?? Not seeing why Wyo should lose to CU.
Your argument would have made more sense last season when CU was ranked 19th not 32nd.

I just don't see how CU is all that elite.

Yeah, not buying it. We could lose, but we're not getting blown out. I like our chances.

Go Pokes!!

Beaver - CU isn't elite, but they are ahead of us (again, at this point in the season). Tad is the real deal as coach.

Jimmy - I am not sure about it. Our first game against TN Martin left me a little nervous. That is all I have to judge off of.

Everybody said the Bluffs were ahead of us last season too. And we took it to them. Granted, we were at home, AND had a Grown Ass Man in the middle but there's a reason they play the game on the court and not on paper. I'll take the Pokes in most of the games this season.
