Wyo Coach Wishlist Part II

Here's a few more names we could consider:

Shaka Smart. Head Coach of Virginia Commonwealth. He's in his second year and they are 17-5. His first year...27-9. He's a young, energetic guy who cares for his team.

Mike Jarvis. Head coach of FAU. Currently 16-6. His career has been rebuilding the program. This year has marked success for him.

Johnny Jones. North Texas. Currently 16-5. And he has had 20 + wins the previous 4 years, and this year doesn't look much worse.

Shaka Smart makes 275k BASE. Schroyer's base is 160k. Johnny Jones is in line to become LSU head coach...are you kidding me? Wyo would be a step down for him. Mike Jarvis? Long shot. Theres no way Tom Burman is going to get a sitting head coach to take this job...The league is too good. We will end up with some random assistant

Schroyer was a random assistant when we found him...We need to show some committment to our mens basketball program that is competitive with the rest of the league. Did you know we are the ONLY team in our league that doesn't have a practice facility????! WTF

Schroyer was a head coach at Portland St. He has had enough time to turn around a program (Tim Miles turned it around at CSU in the same amount of time, that was a harder team to turn around than Wyoming). Schroyer is a bad coach not much more to say about it. We would be better off begging Steve Mclain to come back then keeping Schroyer ( no, I don't want McClain back, but he is clearly better at running a bball program then health is).

Kansas, I like your list. We need this kind of hire to bring the program back. I was in school from 1981 - 1987, this looks nothing like I remimber.

There are two coaches i've had my eye on the last few years. Shaka Smart. Which I really think we could and would match or increase his salary to obtain his credentials. Plus he's been surrounded by legendary coaches in his career, such as, Billy Donovan (Florida), Oliver Purnell (Clemson) and Keith Dambrot (Akron).
And Mike Lonergan from Vermont. A great coach with a great offensive team game plan. And you know what? It's worked for him since he's been there.
