Will UW athletics push for a sell-out this week?

I thought we could have sold out the AFA game if the athletics department did more to market the game. Will they do that this week?

I sure hope so. 5 PM is a lot better than 8:30. Still gives you some time to get home.

They really need to do an on campus push, but never seem too. They should hold a pep rally Friday etc. Get the campus excited

This weekend is parents weekend, so there will be a lot of extra people on campus. There are a bunch of "parents" activities on Saturday and Sunday, plus if they register for those activities for $70 each, then they can get a football ticket for $32 each which allows the parents to sit with their kids in the student section. I think it could easily be a sell-out.

I think they waited too long on the AFA game, and it had a better kick-off time. If they want to sell this one out they're going to have to start actively pushing for the sell-out before Thursday. Has anyone seen any advertisement for the big game yet? I saw a little bit on Facebook but that's about it.

It should sell itself out, IMO.

On top of that, I am not sure UW marketing could "market" to sell out Alabama vs. Michigan at Cheney Alumni Field in Casper.

I agreed, was in Reno this past weekend, and they had a really good crowd for their Homecoming Pep Rally on Virginia Street in Reno, turned the Arch Nevada Blue, good band and decent parade. UW, have a good rally have an easy fun parade downtown on 2nd Street and just people to get out and feel even better about the Pokes. Do something and hype it, and students, get to the game!!!!!!

Completely right on both statements.

7 sections sold out at this point and I imagine the student side will be just about full with students and parents, especially since it is parents weekend

15 total sections sold out as of right now.

I don't think the student side is sold out, they always gray that area out. It is for students, student passes, players tickets, etc. Could be sold out by game time though

It's starting to move, but still short of what Air Force was. Not to worry, though. Student will be out in full force.

Attendance prediction: 27.5k. Huge student turnout makes up for less regular tix sold.

Are you guys looking at the available tickets on the athletics website or somewhere else?

Yeah, you just go to the athletics site to buy tickets and can see down to the exact seat which seats are available

just listening to AD Burman on KFBC and this game is not sold out nor does he expect it, unless a huge walkup crowd, just saying
