New blog is out. This is not your typical Nebraska squad, they can be beat. What do you all think?

Martinez also has many flaws as a passer, a poor throwing motion that looks more like a shot put than a proper release, he throws off his back foot, he stares down his primary receiver and has a hard time reading defensive coverages (especially intermediately over the middle).

Did this guy watch Martinez at all last year? If this was 2012 and last year was 2011, the guy would be pretty spot on but Martinez made huge strides as a passer last year.
Theres a reason he was a All Big Ten QB last year.
Not to mention, that article completely forgets mention of a Nebraska running game that should run all over the place.
Other than the guy at Ohio State? Honestly, you just never really hear about Big 10 QBs for the most part, except Russell Wilson who is now in the NFL. So, no surprise there really. Since the Big 10 is still learning about the Forward Pass, let alone the read option and spread offenses.trouble said:Martinez also has many flaws as a passer, a poor throwing motion that looks more like a shot put than a proper release, he throws off his back foot, he stares down his primary receiver and has a hard time reading defensive coverages (especially intermediately over the middle).

Did you not read the blog? Where did I say Wyoming WOULD beat Nebraska? I only said they can beat Nebraska.
Taylor Martinez is a good football player but a bad quarterback. His throwing motion did improve from horrible to very bad I've seen everyone of his games, I would know.

I meant the last few years.MrTitleist said:Russell Wilson was a one year transfer. However, if you look at the NFL there are some Big10 QBs.. Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Blaine Gabbert.

And I'm not sure, but has Blaine Gabbert actually done anything in the NFL? I never hear his name mentioned.

Blaine Gabbert?
The one that played for Missouri, right?
......in the Big Ten?
Which conference produces the best quarterbacks? Judging by players on current rosters only, the Big Ten edges the Southeastern and Atlantic Coast Conferences by a nose, according to a rating system I devised specifically to answer that question.
I examined the 85 quarterbacks currently on NFL rosters, and assigned them to the conference in which they played while in college. So the Big East, not the ACC, gets credit for Michael Vick’s performance at Virginia Tech; Missouri’s Blaine Gabbert counts for the Big 12 and not the SEC, and so on.
