Which signing are you most excited about?

Mine's probably either Overstreet or Murphy.

For a change there are so many, Wallace, Doddles, Overstreet, Murphy, Price, Ghaifan, Johnson and Faaiu.

Those are all names I expect to make an instant impact when they are on the field. We won't know how many redshirt but we got a lot of defensive recruits and our defense was bad so some of these freshman are going to see field time.

1. Johnson - All-MW potential
2. Murphy - Great steal for camp warrior
3. Doddles - Coaches want him at WR....odd. Still talented.

JMO...there is sizeable drop after those three.

I think I am most excited about Murphy, Johnson, and Ghaifan in this class and I think they will be the most likely to contribute right away, along with Davion Freeman and Tavita Faaiu.

One thing that stands out to me is what we didn't address, and that is TE which has me excited to see our redshirt TE's, we know Hollister is pretty solid but Mayfield was going to play until he got hurt and we also have Brinkley Jolly and Grant Lewis. 2 of them will have big impacts.

This is the time of year I get excited to hear about last years recruiting class as they gear up for spring ball, we get to hear who took advantage of their redshirt year and will make an impact on the 2015 class. We won't see a lot of the 2015 class, but the 2014 class we probably will. It seems likely we will see a 2014 QB, whether it is Fort, Coffman (my pick), or Nick Smith. I am also excited to see the 2014 DBs.

I am excited about our class this year don't get me wrong. But we won't really be able to tell how great this class is until fall of 2016 at the very earliest, it seems to be a very athletic class! I am ready for spring ball, that's for sure.

It is impressive that we have a class that seems to be as highly regarded as ever after a 4-8 season. We had 6 guys commit before the season started and we then went 4-8 and not one of the decommitted, says a lot about our staff and their ability to find kids that are going to buy in and look to build something in Laramie

I think Skylor Clinton and especially Faaiu could contribute right away at LB because of their size and speed. They are both awfully fast for how big they are.

Pretty sure Faiiu is listed by the team as a DE.

We'll see. I think a couple of the two star guys will shine....like Ghaifan and Davion Freeman. Freeman reminds of me of the fast kid from Utah State watching his highlights.

I am still baffled by the number of receivers that were signed. A total of ten if you include the walk-ons. 6 scholarship players out of 23. Once again you would think we were still running the spread? He only uses 3 at the most, times two deep, is 6. I know we graduated a few but dang. What about a few OL/DL types and please get some defenders that can cover and tackle.

We got quite a few DB/LB/Athletes too. The only positions not really gone over were the lines, because it seems that Bohl and staff have confidence in the guys on roster already.

I think it's fine. We lost 6 guys, so it's not like we're adding any more. And TE is typically an under utilized position in high school. Perhaps Bohl sees some of the WR recruits as future TE projects. Or perhaps someone will be a designated return man. I think Bohl got it right at this position.
The better question is why do we have so many scholarships tied up with crappy QB's?

We have 5 QBs now, including Allen in this class that we have signed in the last 2 years under Bohl. None of them have taken a snap and 4 of them are soph or younger. How exactly can you call them crappy, none of us have seen them. Give the kids a chance before you call all 5 crappy. I think Coffman will be good next year and that'll give th other 4 another year to get better

So many options, yet how was the on field production last year?

That's my point they were all young, except for Coffman who wasn't eligible, so they all red shirted? Just like 90% of college football freshman. You haven't seen these kids play, and neither have I. So how exactly can you say they are "crappy" quarterbacks

Our best option last year, although he had a lot of heart, was a terrible decision maker and poor all around qb. The other guys should have stepped up. Look at the other freshman contributors from last season... They stepped into places that needed filled due to poor performance/injuries. If you can't beat out a guy who can't see wide open guys in the end zone and stands in the pocket until he gets rocked and stares down his receiver then you're a pretty crappy player. The coaches think so too, you don't go the JC or transfer route unless you desperately need the help
