What are you trying to say Mr. ACS?

I hope he does well and believe that he is talented. Honestly although, IMO, ACS leaving was probably one of the best things that happened to the program. Brett Smith is simply a better QB than ACS in just about every way. I think Brett Smith as a true freshman gave us a better chance at winning games than ACS as a Junior. I doubt that DC would have given the starting job to Brett Smith over ACS and who knows maybe Brett Smith would have transferred.

I am not a fan of DC, but I do believe that he will play the players that give him the best chance to win. That would have been eventually led to Brett Smith starting over ACS. If ACS had stayed, maybe Brett could have taken a redshirt year and developed even more, or maybe ACS would have been relegated to a back-up either way.

Regardless, the Pokes went 4-8 last year due in no small part to lack of depth at the QB position (well, that and atrocious defense of course). High roster turnover and the resulting lack of depth/talent has been a consistent trend in DC's program and I don't think it can be spun as a positive. If that was ACS taking snaps instead of Kirkegaard against Cal Poly, than I believe we would have avoided one of the most humiliating losses in school history and the resulting downturn in the program (I think the team lost confidence after that and Brett changed how he reacted/dealt with certain situations-see Nevada game).

I hope he and Vandy do well this season. I think it would be cool if they pull some big SEC upsets. I remember him saying similar things about Wyoming being the place to be, he should plug the school he is at, part of being a leader and helping recruiting. And yes the stiff arm vs CSU is one of my top 10 favorite plays from the last 20 yrs!

good for him, but I wouldn't trade either of our top 2 guys for him.

Honestly I don't think he was inferring anything. He was just answering some questions from the media. Big deal.

Not sure why you guys need to try and read something into everything. Non story in my opinion.

This exactly.

If ACS and that freshmen class didn't come in here and do what they did, there wouldn't have been a bowl game, recruiting would've sucked, DC would be gone and last year's results would be the norm. ACS was a gigantic positive for this program, Brett looks as if he can take it to higher heights and lets see who picks up the banner going forward.
