They don't fit our profile for DEs. We recruit fast undersized guys for DE and put weight on them. When we're further along in our program, they'll all redshirt to get weight on. If they were 6'6" 220, I'd see them as an eventual DE, but these guys aren't particularly fast and if they aren't on the OL, they could be DT. I expect most of them to be on the OL
But I do think the initial plan is for most of these guys to start on offense.
I saw stofer and the other guy were in the 250's and thought about that too. We'd have to see how quick they were by watching their film. By no means should we be shooting for 210lb DEs but it's worked well for Granderson. As a high school kid it's probably be nice to get fast 230/235lb kid And put weight on them. If they're heavier than that it highschool, it doesn't seem like the have the speed to be DE. I'm talking about Wyoming profile recruits of course. The alabamas of the world are able to get the 270lb DEs coming out of highshool with freak speed. That's why they're 4 and 5 star guys. We develop lighter faster guys and put weight on at every position. Not ideal, but once we have depth, we will be able to redshirt a lot more. I see nothing wrong with having 6'6" 295lb DTs
