UW vs. UC - Colorado Springs

They seem like they do play pretty well as a team. Lots of good passing and not forcing too many things. Just need to keep those turnovers down. They have done a pretty good job of it so far tonight.

Will be interested to see Hankerson play when he gets a chance. Not sure why he didn't play tonight. Got enough guys who can shoot from 3 it seems.

Wyoming playing sloppy now.

Yeah, turns out that whole "depth" thing is probably not a reality for this team. Starters did what you would expect in this type of games, but our bench kids aren't quite ready.

Getting freaking destroyed by a bad D2 team right now.

Kind of wish Shyatt would have put the starters back in so that there would be some positive vibes coming out of this game.

Yeah. I know its an exhibition game but honestly we don't seem quite as athletic this year and not sure we are going to be any better compared to last year. Looks like it might be a long year. Hopefully they keep improving.

Is Hankerson not playing because he is in trouble or hurt or has the coach decided he isn't good enough to step on the court along with Stull, McManamen, and Tyser? Please tell me there is a good reason he isn't playing...

We still can't close out, Hope that isn't a season trend. I feel Shyatt knows what he is doing but depth is still going to be an issue. We don't have it and while it might not hurt in an exh game it's going to kill us later in league play.

On that same note we are playing at a faster pace offensively but also giving up more defensively. I dunno how I feel about it, I have to hope we pick up the defensive play this season.

This is why we will have to play slow again. Need to limit the number of possessions and allow our top 7-8 players to play the full game.

Especially an issue in the front court. I can't imagine Sellers, Herndon, or Vernon seeing time when it counts. Will have to play small with either Haldorson or one of the guards (Granberry/Hankerson) at the 4.

Was hoping we would look a lot better than this from the bench players. Want to be optimistic but we will get destroyed in conference if this is all the better our bench plays this year.

TW3 is going to be a very exciting freshman, I have a feeling he is going to be better than Gilmore because he seems to have a quicker first step but not quite as good as Ewing because he lacks a little size.

Either way I'm still excited to see how the season plays out and I'm hiding all my Brown and Gold Koolaid and Glasses.

I also think it hurt us last season that the bench players never really got any real play time. We relied on the starters all year long so the fact Shyatt has played all new comers the entire second half I think it's a smart thing to let them get play time early in the year so when we do have to rely on them they aren't like deer in the head lights.

Our starters look good. Our depth, aside from 1-2 players, not so much.

Vernon is too physical, would make a good linebacker though.

You guys know the first 7 roster spots haven't played most of this half right....we'll be alright

Only 4 of them (Nance, Cooke, Grabau, and Adams). Sobey has played somewhat and I don't even know who 6 and 7 would be. Probably Washington and Granberry and they have been playing the whole time.

Of course, it will be interesting to find out what the deal with Hankerson is.

See I think getting play time for the new guys now and early is going to be beneficial for us later on. Last year they never got that play time and when we needed them to play they weren't prepared to play.

I'll take the win, but our depth, once again, is badly lacking. That said, Washington III looks pretty good. Vernon, reminds me a bit of Cooke last year. Raw, but unafraid. Still a work in progress. Hopefully Hankerson isn't out for long.
