USU @ WYO- Game Day Thread

Pokes now 7-2, and just a couple more regular season games left!

But seriously, third quarters like that need to fucking stop. Especially against a team like SDSU.

Just toying with em!

Well, they made the score look nice and finished well. Also, taking a knee rather than punching it in means Utah State won't circle this game _quite_ as hard next season. :P

Dangit, another TD would've matched our most points in a game since 1996!

Ahhh...the infamous 66-0 destruction of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in Laramie that year. Great memories.

Hawaii had their third worst ever earlier...55-0 to San Diego State.

Brent Vigen....52 points....terrible game.

Well, he was making me nervous in the 3rd quarter. Should have scored 2 instead of giving up 3.

Yet we maintained the same margin of victory that we had in the first half: 28 points.

I think it will take a while for Wyoming to get used to smash mouth football. When you're up 28 in the third quarter at 7220, and you have Brian Hill in your backfield, you're not going to chuck the ball around. You're going to pound Hill over, and over, and over again.

The reason why you do that: in the fourth quarter, every run netted us 6 to 8 yards.

It is true. But flock, it is nerve racking. Especially the way the came out passing the ball on us. Of course, they only got within two scores of us....but damn.

There are two patterns I've noticed this year. We get down by a few scores, then work our way back into the game. Or we get up by a few scores and let the other team back in the game. And the third i guess is to lose the game....
