UNLV and Utah St next PAC targets

If the only way the MWC can keep UNLV and Air Force is to give them a bigger piece of the financial pie, would you be in favor of that? Interested in everyone's thoughts. It sounds like the MWC might be heading down that road.

The MWC already did a similar thing with Boise State and look how that turned out. It might buy the MWC some time, but it's not a great long-term approach.
Yes, but not indefinitely. We have to do whatever it takes at this point. Needs to be a way to terminate it, unlike the Boise deal

Apparently, the 6-Pac offered to cover just $2m of the AAC exit fees. Don't see how that same offer lands them any remaining MWC schools.

It is interesting that they had the Gonzaga thing ready to go as soon as that AAC statement dropped. I still believe the PAC is doing bad business but clearly they are capable of thinking a few steps ahead. Wish the same could be said for the MWC

Zags are basically saying they have enough credibility at they could go independent in BB and are willing to lend their name to PAC for enough cash.

Gloria get off your ass and get a killer instinct. Give af, unm, and unlv whatever they want. 5 year grant of rights for everyone in mwc.

If pac can't get mwc or aac, they're screwed. Use their money to cut off their life lines.
What are the options for BSU, CSU, SDSU, and Fresno St should all other MWC and AAC teams actually stand pat with where they are at?

Have they locked themselves into leaving the MWC in 2026 or is there some clause in the new agreement that would allow them to back out and stay in the MWC?

I’d imagine their contract has an ‘escape clause’ meaning their grant of rights terminates if the PAC doesn’t have enough football playing members by a certain date.

Great question. I don't know regarding reentrance to the mwc or avoiding the buyout?

If usu and unlv go, that's another 60 million? They'd spend 200 million ish to drop af, wyo, NV, and unm?

I'm starting to think this isn't going the way they planned.

Who knows if it will actually happen, but a second failed attempt to leave the conference from SDSU would be quite hilarious.

I will say Gloria Nevarez played this very well. Us 8 will stick together in G5 status, geographically close, this is a huge win. Boise, Fresno, and CSU will come crying back to us. Honestly look at the 50,000 ft view. Oregon St and Wash St were rejected by every P5. They added G5 teams and still think they're P5 status?!?! Us 8 are coming out the winners here plus we don't have to go play on that ugly blue turf in a few years.
