a top 25 ranking going into SDSU would be nice

If Toledo wins out and beets WMU in the last game, WMU will not go to the champ game. Toledo will likely be the highest rated team they play this year (maybe their 1 point win over Northwestern). If they get past Toledo, then Ohio in champ game who gave Toledo their only conference loss. They have as tough a row to hoe as we do.

They continue to rank until they rank a G5 team(or just decide which G5 is the highest rank)

I think WMU has to lose twice for us to leapfrog them in the rankings. NY6 is extremely unlikely.

We only have to jump then in ranking and win a MWC championship.

And like I said, I think it would take two losses for us to jump them in the ranking.

One loss didn't change a ton for Boise in the ranking (still in top 25), and I doubt it'd be catastrophic for WMU.

Boise went from 13 to 24, W Michigan is 21 one loss and they will be very likely to not retain that spot. They pretty much have to win out to secure anything.

NIU is giving Toledo all they can handle right now. I do think Toledo can knock off wmu though, which would help us, assuming we win out.

NIU is giving Toledo all they can handle right now. I do think Toledo can knock off wmu though, which would help us, assuming we win out.

Well, a 3-6 Duke just upset #17 North Carolina. If nothing else, it should mean Boise climbs at least one spot, even if NC doesn't drop past us... or maybe they do.

Utah's struggling too, but Az State has been shooting themselves in the foot enough that it probably won't matter.

That 31 yard TD from a broken play gave them the lead again. ASU is doing a lot better than I thought they could.

If WMU is the G5 participant in the NY6 bowl they will get killed. They are not that good. I hope we get the las vegas bowl so I can bet against them.

I wouldn't make that bet. They will be a big dog in whoever they play. I've watched 2 of WMU's games on TV, and their young coach has them fired up and playing above their talent level. It reminds me a bit of Boise State headed into the Fiesta Bowl against Oklahoma years ago.

Yeah, they look very solid when they're rolling. Sure they'd have to play a very good game to beat whomever they face, but that's to be expected.
