I'd like to know how we went from 5 votes in the AP Poll to 2 votes with a convincing won over USU!?

Nobody right ahead of us had a bad day. All of the upsets happened quite a bit higher on the spectrum.

Still doesn't warrant fewer votes. I understand that nobody in front had a bad day but don't take our votes and give them to someone else. We did nothing to justify fewer.....however I also believe we did nothing to justify more truly.

A lot of those extra votes moves are on the SDSU side. When you hang a 55-0 score on a team people take notice. When you let off the gas in the 3rd quarter and give up 21 points in less than 3 minutes people notice that as well.

Right now all MWC attention is at SDSU door step and they won't lose it unless we beat them or they stumble.

We are competing every week against SDSU and out performing them and if we don't they will keep getting the affection and the votes that said I don't care about the ranking I just understand how it works.

The only ranking that would matter is if W Michigan loses then I'll start paying attention to it because they are getting the NY6 Bowl unless they lose and we have no chance of taking that from them.

Some of you aren't going to like this....

In Week 10 we had 2 polls with us at 24 (Jerry DiPaola, Robert Gagliardi) and one poll at 25 (Garland Gillen). This week we were in two polls at 25 (Robert Gagliardi, Garland Gillen).

Not only that, but we swapped spots with Boise State in Gagliardi's poll (in DiPaola's poll, Washington State and USC replaced Wyoming and Boise State).

Meh...this doesn't bother me in the least for 2 big reasons: 1) I don't think Wyo is a Top 25 team yet, losing to Eastern Michigan (despite their improvement this season) is not a ringing endorsement of being top 25 caliber; and 2) as soon as you get a number in front of your name, you get a target on your back. Let the Pokes stay under people's radar and let them think UW is a fluke, makes it all the sweeter when UW wins.

I agree that we need to beat SDSU to deserve a Top 25 ranking. The Pokes need to focus and beat UNLV first, but that game with the Aztecs could/should be HUGE for the program. Whodathunkit at this point? Bohl is getting a lot of good words on social media nowadays.

Personally, I'll also be cheering for USU and CS-ewe to slow UNM down over the next couple weeks. Take the wind out of the Lobos sails before the regular season ending tilt. That will still be a very important game for WYO.

This has actually been a very entertaining game and Kent State is not giving up they are playing hard. Looks like W Michigan still has the NY6 Bowl in their corner this game is pretty much done but Kent put up a hell of a battle.

They were 21.5 point favorites in that game. They are definitely fallible Toledo has the best chance to knock them off. I highly doubt they slip to Buffalo.

If WMU is the G5 participant in the NY6 bowl they will get killed. They are not that good. I hope we get the las vegas bowl so I can bet against them.

We only have to jump then in ranking and win a MWC championship.

Win loss record doesn't matter. If we beat a ranked Boise and SDSU along with a MWC championship I believe we'll pass them in ranking if they lose.

They have to lose a game but at that same time they haven't beat a ranked team. If we knock off #13 and then beat SDSU twice I think it'll give us a shot at being the top ranked conference champion.

W Michigan could win out and end up with a lower ranking. Wyoming controls its own destiny we have to win out and if we do we still have a chance it's obviously a slim chance but I really think it exists as long as we take care of business.

We have had the harder trail, but the one common opponent is where we blew it. It's a crap shoot, but we do still have to beat SDS twice and that's not an easy task.

I agree unless the one game they lose is in the MAC championship game. Lose that and they can't make the NY6. So that's the only game that matters really unless they just blow up the rest of the season.

And like I said, I think it would take two losses for us to jump them in the ranking.

One loss didn't change a ton for Boise in the ranking (still in top 25), and I doubt it'd be catastrophic for WMU.

I think they would just make sure to put one in at 25. After 1-4, the rankings are totally meaningless anyways

I doubt that. I think they'd give the slot to another P5 team. Have to look at the rules to be sure though.

I can't seem to find it now, but there are other rankings that are looked at. From what I can tell, G5 can't lose its spot.
