Top 25

Does Wyoming carry enough momentum with a win over Utah State to carry them into the Top 25? I don't think so unless 20-25 lose. Arizona needs to take down Washington St. A K-State win would drop OK st out. I also don't think FSU can stay in with another loss.

Do these losses and even a blowout win over Utah St garner enough votes to get Wyoming in the Top 25?

A win does help, but what helps even more would be the teams in front of us being knocked off.

I get nervous even talking about this. Winning, blowout, etc. One game at a time. BSU had another 30 put on em by the worst in the league.

I don't care about getting ranked. I just want us to keep winning and not worry about how good other people think we are.

This is how I feel this year

The only way we break into the top 25 is beating SDSU. From a national view on college football they are getting all the MWC recognition and UW is barely in the conversation.

If we beat them people will take notice but for now the BSU win is being looked at like beating a down BSU team.

Based on the past couple of nights, I'm not so sure. There's been plenty of talk of Wyoming on national television, and while there was quite a bit of it before last night's Boise game, Wyoming's been brought up outside of that too, both on CBS Sports, ESPN, and Fox Sports. We're getting a lot of credit for improving week to week too.

That said, winning is better than just being talked about. :)

BSU was the top G5 team entering last week's game

We have to win out and a few of the 15-25 teams need to lose a couple games. There are a lot of good teams sitting just outside 25.

Yes a down Boise team that has struggled this year.

Any of the undefeated or one loss Boise teams of the past would completely destroy this year's Boise state team and that is what they mean by a down team and I can't argue against it.

Who has this Boise team beat? The Washington state win is looking better but that Oregon state win not so much.

There weren't too many crying BSU was "down" this season going into the game. They were undefeated and ranked in the top 15. That's a helluva "down year".

And I hate comparisons to years past. It's not relavent and has no bearing on anything. There are plenty of cowboys teams in history who would beat this years cowboy team and guess what the means today? Not a damn thing. It's pointless! The Boise game was huge for this team and this state. I don't care if they had close games and close wins. They were still a huge threat put before us where we had very little chance to win and we did. I don't care about historical teams. Good lord, it's like MMA math....

I personally don't think we deserve the top 25 until we win the next 2 games. We still lost to EMU and Nebraska didn't show very well this week.

Have to beat Vegas and SDSU before we are a legit top 25 team. If we can win the next two we should break into the polls. That EMU loss was a killer for rankings.

In the national media everyone has talked about it and it doesn't matter what you think or what I think it matters what the media thinks and like it or not they compare teams to past teams.

It doesn't take away from us winning it just didn't give us leverage that we needed when it comes to national recognition. We have to make that statement on the field and when we hang 60-0 on someone people will notice that.

I'd like to know how we went from 5 votes in the AP Poll to 2 votes with a convincing won over USU!?

Nobody right ahead of us had a bad day. All of the upsets happened quite a bit higher on the spectrum.
