Top 25 Coaches Poll

You want to feel old, Last time Wyoming was Ranked I was at the Bon jovi & Skid row concert @ the Casper Event Center.
 
I think I made it to almost every game that year as a first semester student. Here I am, 27 years later, still at the University and still doing basically the same thing. Man what a wonderful, terrible run.

boy howdy, do I I have 3 copies, one framed one in plastic and one I read quite often..lol, i can remember it like it was yesterday, I was a Senior in High School, went home for lunch to check the mailbox and there it was...man oh man...took it to school and got in lots of trouble by the teachers for not paying attention to them that afternoon...lol

I didn't subscribe to SI yet back then and couldn't drive to town to get a copy on my own, so I simply have never gotten to read that particular issue. My "Real Poke Fan" bona fides came attached to my diploma though.

The last time Wyoming was ranked in the FINAL AP Top 25 poll was in 1988. I think they have made an appearance since. Benny had some good teams as did Shyatt (his one year) and McClain until he went job hunting.

Jeez. I find it comical that CSU has more votes than us. Wow. Do these pundits even pay attention?
 
I hate CSU also, but to be honest, they should probably be ranked anyway. They have 2 total losses and won a couple games this week by a combined 85 points.

Problem I have with getting votes for style points is winning by 1 or by 101 is still one worth 1 win.
 
Pokes fell from 25 to 41 in AP
33rd in coaches

Both SDSU and csu ahead of us in both. SDSU deserves it. CSU doesn't.
 
AP poll: BJ Rains (Idaho P-T), Ben_Fred, Dick Vitale and Ron Morris (Columbia, SC) all with #25 votes for the Pokes this week.

Can't wait to see the Pokes curbstomp the sheep in Laramie.

TBH getting Dick Vitales vote @ #25 after this week is some of the highest praise we will get.
 
The best thing that could have happened was getting out of the polls. It's a damn distraction. We play better with something to prove.
