I watched the game replay. Everyone looked good except Lieberman and Gorski, surprise surprise.
-I get the feeling if Barnes had better hands he would be an asset. Too bad.
-Adams is the shiz. Love him already.
-James is the man.
-JMac - ice cold. Hopefully he breaks out of the slump.
-I think Naughton needs more minutes. Not sure who to take them from, though.
-Herndon looks all around better this year to me.
Agreed all the way around, Herndon's growth and improvement might be one of if not the biggest key to how well this team does this year.
James and Adams are no doubt our most talented offensive players, with Herndon right behind, except Herndon can't create as well as JJ or Lou.
If Dalton could find some way to put on about 20 pounds he could be a scary player, he's already got a high basketball IQ with great length and fair/decent handles and shooting ability.
Jmac I think just needs to settle down and not try to be "the man". I feel like he's forced a bunch of shots this season, just needs to focus on keeping the flow of the offense going and hitting shots in rhythm and he'll be fine. We need him playing within himself, less wild drives hoping for a foul, leading to turnovers.
Naughton has shown some real nice touch with both hands in the post, but still looks raw at times. Hopefully with experience he'll turn into a force, but so far this year his minutes have been limited.
Liebs and Gorski? Oof and oof. If they aren't making shots, they're liabilities, esp Lieberman. Both are below average defenders due to lack of size/speed/athleticism, both have less than stellar handles, and little to no drive and create ability. Both are great role players, and Aka Gorski has shown the potential to go off in scoring on any given night if his shot is dropping, but lately it's been ugly. Liebs hasn't contributed in a big way yet this year, but if he can keep turnovers down and hit an open shot here or there he'll fill the role the pokes need.
