I’m optimistic, but after last years coaching debacle I have to withhold judgement for a few games.

My biggest concern last year was totally changing the offense. I think it helps when Wyoming is different than what everyone else does. That said, we don't have those major changes this year, and I just love what I see. Time will tell. Knock on wood for health.

I think the O takes a big step forward. I've rewatched a lot of the games and definitely preparation issues. When you get past that, there were quite few instances of failed execution. The plays got the matchips they wanted but bad throws, pressure too fast, poor throws, poor routes, etc. I think the execution will be better which will make the play calling/o look better.
D is tough to tell. Injuries up front and a potentially shaky secondary have me nervous. The O is going to have to score this year.

Beat a terrible Akron team that you should beat.
Don't lose at home to another FCS school.
Then, I will be able to gauge my optimism.

Always optimistic, but like others, I'll wait and see how the players and coaches perform.
This. So much this.
We lose to Akron or UNI, we are in DEEP TROUBLE. UNI is no where near the team they used to be. Akron has me nervous - as they beat Toledo and Eastern last year at home. I have so little faith in this staff that I cannot be optimistic.
