Hope you all can read the article.

Cheyenne South will NOT have a varsity football team in 2027.

Wonder how that'll effect the 4A silo scheduling in football next year.

I would think either A) allow each school one out-of-conference game (i.e. school from Colorado, Nebraska, Utah, etc), or B) move up a school from 3A (Star Valley??).
I'm guessing we'll see Star Valley or Cody move up, Big Horn move to 3A, and South come back as a 2A school.

I am at a loss as to how playing only sub-varsity football for a year is going to change things in the short or long term for South football. 1 year doesn't solve the numbers problem that exists at South. If I'm a freshman or sophomore at South, I'd be concerned that 1 year of sub-varsity football might turn into 2 years (and maybe even 3).

Is that what is causing all this, numbers? Is it enrollment? Culture for sports? Helluva stadium to build for what has come to light.
