I have found this whole T a&m/SEC issue to be very sad. While I think it would be interesting to see what a Texas team would do in the SEC, I think this is a sad situation for Texas A&M. They are, in my opinion, one of the most storied programs in college football. While not successful of late, they still have a following like few others. Their boosters and $ are second to none. Why are they prostituting themselves to the SEC? To spike UT? Or this is just a move instigated by their pro-SEC AD? Why not think outside the box? T A&M could propose to leave the big 12, start their own conference and take the best of the Big 12 with them and poach a few others ; byu, or even Ariz/Ariz St. or AFA, Boise. i know this is WAY outside the box, but it seems to be better than surrendering to the SEC. I always thought the state of Texas stood for independence. Not "suck up."
