The Game You Shouldn't Miss...

Every fan has one...you know...the game they should have traveled to, but didn't, and missed it. I was smart enough (or lucky enough) to go to the Vegas Bowl, Oxford - Mississippi, Knoxville - Tennessee, the New Mexico Bowl, etc. But I did miss out going to SDSU last year (and I had the opportunity)!

My point? I think Saturday will be one of those games. Call it the SDSU game of 2010...not sure we will score that many points, but I think good 'ol UW stands a solid chance in Provostan this year.

And I may eat a huge helping of crow...but the risk is worth the reward. To walk out of that hell hole with a Cowboy victory...ranks right up there with most things in life. Think about that...

If this was on Facebook I would have to click the Like button. No seriously I agree we have the same record as BYU but we have played the tougher competition and that will speak volumes... I also feel good about about a Poke win.

Mine is the new mexico bowl, one my most memorial games was the UVA game in Laramie in 07 I had graduated in 05' and I am glad I made the trip back to L town for that one.

I sure hope your right Peachy. That's why the lady and I are making the drive. Is there any UW tailgating going on or a pre game meet up area?

We don't have tickets yet but from the look of craigslist and stubhub I can find them cheaply somewhere in town. Are people allowed to scalp tickets nearby the stadium? I could see some weird rule about that in Provo.

"I read that the pre-game mixer is at Magleby’s Grill, 1600 N Freedom (200 West) Boulevard, Provostan, 801‐374‐6249, starting at 9:30 am. Located inside the Courtyard Marriott Provo, close to the stadium, about 500 yards or so."

Would probably be a good place to find tickets as well...I will be there, I will be the drunk one. :D

i wish i could make it to porvo this game...someone needs to drink a near beer for me :winky:

And don't forget!!! STOP IN EVANSTON TO BYOB!!! Maybe bring some fireworks to sell to the locals too.

The two games that I went to and was glad I did are definitely the New Mexico Bowl and the '99 game against BYU. In '99 BYU was 8-1 and ranked 12th or something, and the Pokes kicked their butt! As I recall, it was the highest ranked team we had beaten to that point.

The '88 game vs. BYU also deserves mention. The first night game at the War and we kick their butt! I even saw myself on TV from that night.

As for games I missed and wished I hadn't, the '88 game vs. UTEP. I would have loved to see the goal posts come down. Had to wait until '99 to see it again. I also had a chance to go to Knebraska in '94. Even though we lost, I would have loved to have been there to see us lead the #1 team for 3+ quarters.
