The BYU Hatred

Yes, you were shopping conferences. And you were perfectly happy to dismantle your old one on the way out the door. And you got your little pals in Logan to take the lead for you.

Please show me one single source that supports this. This is all folklore as far as I'm concerned. Just an echo chamber you guys repeat, but has no factual evidence to back up. Show me something and I'll believe you. Otherwise it's just fan fiction.

Are you serious that you come on here demanding factual evidence? There is nothing available on the record indicating how USU got started on their proposals. It just starts there.

You're a joke, 7.

Yo 7, even a short read of these threads will lead you to links to the SL Tribune, which I suspect is no friend of anything UW. Plenty of history there. Plenty of room for criticism of your beloved institution, in your own rag. Unless the articles conflict with your own whitewashed version of reality and your conceited, deceitful cult of moral superiority.

Of course, these articles don't mention the self-entitled, arrogant air of superiority displayed nearly universally by the BYU students I've met, nor the racist and misogynistic recent history that y'all seem to deny. Try reading the Bible about humility, something that is missing in the nastyass inversion level that hovers over your campus.

Get off your ass, read a bit, and enjoy the real world. and quit trying to make the rest of us over in your image. You can start by stopping the use of spoiled milk in your highball.

Having said that, I welcome the games with BYU, and I have since Tubs shut up the world's greatest whiner, Danny ainge. Bring it.

Despicable Wyoming Fan and proud of it, since 1978

Again, no sources provided to this BYU destroying MWC conspiracy theory you swear by. The SLTrib article you reference is the one I've mentioned several times and it says nothing to incriminate BYU. It says absolutely zero about BYU trying to get other MWC teams to leave. All it says is USU and WAC were trying to get BYU to join the WAC when it became obvious BYU was going to pull the trigger and go Independent in football. When the MWC pulled in 2 WAC teams, BYU was no longer interested and ended up in the WCC.

That's all the article said. Literally nothing incriminating whatsoever about BYU.

This is my point. That's why I said show me a source. You all are just an echo chamber repeating the same BS stories that have no factual evidence to support it. You all believe in your conspiracy theory, but you must acknowledge it's not based on fact, it's based on hearsay / folk lore.

You're leaving out a lot of details here. BYU helped draw up an agreement with WAC that would've ensured the MWC went under, and a large part of that was the exit fees WAC teams would have to pay for leaving. You're trying to claim BYU was entirely ignorant of the fact that the MWC would've collapsed if it hadn't been because Fresno and Nevada opting to make the switch.

This is what the backstabbing is about. Unlike Utah, TCU, and even SDSU and Boise when they were looking like they were headed to the Big East, they did not attempt to light the house on fire on their way out.

More details:

Once again, this isn't illegal, but if you don't believe it's a betrayal, then that says a lot about your character.

Ok, first of all thank you for actually posting an article and not just regurgitating what you've heard through the gossip chain. I respect that.

And I read the article. The entire article focused on the negotiations going on between the WAC and BYU. It actually had some great detail. But I would like to point out that it said NOTHING about BYU trying to get other teams to leave the MWC or that they were trying to screw the MWC in any way.

All it talked about was what the contract would look like between BYU and the WAC if they partnered up. MWC torpedoed that plan by taking 2 WAC teams (great move by them), so BYU reverted to the WCC.

Nowhere in here does it say anything about BYU trying to burn the MWC house down as they left.

So, again, I'm seeing literally zero evidence that BYU did anything to screw over the MWC. If anybody has anything that says otherwise, I'll read it (as I've read every other article you guys have posted).

Just a hunch, I’m guessing “7” had a difficult time with the connect the dots coloring sheeets when he was a child- hell even as an adult. I’m sure he’s not aware of the adage “it’s as clear as the nose on your face”. No sense in me wasting any more of my time.

Nice, more generalizations. And no facts. You just make baseless accusations. Why the hell would I just take your word for what happened? Were you in the room when any negotiations were taking place? Show me facts, show me articles, I'll read it and be "informed" as you claim you are. It turns out your information is just gossip chain BS and you have nothing to back it up.

Would be nice if the mentally challenged BYU fan would go back to his hole. Don’t feed the troll. I want to focus on wazzu

So that settles it. You guys have absolutely zero evidence to back up your claims that BYU wanted to destroy the MWC. They just left the conference like anyone else. No vendetta conspiracy theory BS.

People have posted the evidence. The only thing nobody's provided is a written statement from your AD that says "We'll make sure MWC has no chance of survival by drawing up these contracts," presumably because most criminals don't need to spell out in writing what they're about to do and what their motivations are. Turns out that the criminal justice system is still able to convict plenty of criminals simply based on the evidence of the crime.

Most teams when they switch conferences don't suddenly get involved in creating new rules for their new conference mates to prevent them from leaving to a small number of other conferences. Please note that it was for example okay to leave for Big 12... I'm sure it's a coincidence that it wasn't okay to leave for the MWC which now needed teams desperately to not go under!

I do have proof that BYU attendees believe in magic undwerwear. So no need to argue with someone that is insane, naive, or ignorant.

Kind of like arguing with a Scientologist about souls coming from a volcano.
