Tapscott Gone

Holmgren tweeted that RB Joshua Tapscott is transferreing.

Sucks, I liked him a lot. Best of luck and thanks for sticking out a tough season and not quitting mid season like a b*tch.

I wish him nothing but the best. He is a good player, but with the backfield being as crowded as it is he was probably going to be buried on it this year.

Especially if Wick comes back. With Hill being only a junior Tapscott probably realized he wasn't going to be the featured back....but I liked his running style.

Best of luck Joshua!

Pretty sure that he regrets not deciding that wyomings program is not a good fit earlier , for many players , it's different here at best. I do not blame anyone for leaving , that being said I'll continue my season tickets because there is not much more to do and I love watching the game of football.

That's a blanketing statement. "It's different here at best" - true for anywhere / any program! All in where you are from, your current environment - surroundings, your upbringing, your tastes and desires, your culture, your hobbies, your goals, your intelligence, your outlook, etc., etc., etc.

You guys haven't figured this out yet??

True that ....... so many of you guys like making things seem like what they are not , it's too funny actually. Lol , but I get a kick out of it ..... where else can you get entertainment like this around here. I've heard many are not picking up season tickets actually, might be a good idea to sit this sh t out for a few , that's what the wife said.. that means you guys sound like my wife I guess.

As usual I do not get your quirky sense of humor , that being said it needs to stay real , it is a team torn apart and very very lucky to get 2 wins in 2015. If it would of been kept together and kids would of actually been interested is staying and playing they are a 500 team no doubt. .... now it just needs to be identified why the all the turnover in the program , yes I know all programs have it at some rate but even those have reasons.

Huh?? We haven't had that much turnover. In fact, I would say we have had less turnover this year than we have the last several years. Granted we might see more during/after spring ball, but you act as if we're losing guys left and right.

There has been quite a bit here ... at least compared to div 1 programs that I know the players parents.

No there hasn't (this year)...compared to other D1 programs, I follow college sports.

Wasn't the word on the street at seasons end that a bunch of our WRs weren't coming back?

I haven't heard of one WR leaving yet.

The only ones are Young- easily fourth on QB depth. And solid recruits coming in.
And Tappscot. He was between third or fourth on depth even after Wick went down. How many rushes did he get last year? How about the year before? His only run worth anything was his TD break against Fresno two years ago.
When guys are burried in depth, I don't see transferring as an issue. It's when you don't have depth and your top guys are transferring that there is an issue.

Ya I also heard that after this year there might be several leaving , guess we will have to wait untill the school year to see if they are staying or going hard to say right now one way or the other. So wick was out most all the year due to concussion problems and possibly a lineman , I don't see them playing again . If you missed that much time with a injury like that it moves into brain damage senerio and it's highly recommend that you have no contact. Period. As far as the amount of carries hill had most of them so there was not many more to go around, even when wick was healthy it was like that , tapscott had the second or third amount of carries according to the stats , and ya like I said hill had alot , that's why it tapers off after him . Yes there has been good players leave by choice or not by choice that would of started and would of been great here , yes maybe they left before it all unraveled here but yes they did leave.
