Tapscott Gone

Wasn't the word on the street at seasons end that a bunch of our WRs weren't coming back?

I haven't heard of one WR leaving yet.

The only ones are Young- easily fourth on QB depth. And solid recruits coming in.
And Tappscot. He was between third or fourth on depth even after Wick went down. How many rushes did he get last year? How about the year before? His only run worth anything was his TD break against Fresno two years ago.
When guys are burried in depth, I don't see transferring as an issue. It's when you don't have depth and your top guys are transferring that there is an issue.

UW lost 3 in December (Bailey to CSewe was one of them), and 2 others. Plus Facebook Boy just this week.

Things are pretty quiet...and that can only mean 2 things.

Bailey saw the writing on the wall......if you can't make a FG and a FG kicker is signed to a scholarship, then you are likely done.

I think hiring a decent looking WR coach is going to help retain some of the young wide receivers.

Completely agree on Bailey. His lack of ability cost us, on several drives, in multiple games. And for him to transfer to CSewe and slam that door on UW, is really a huge blessing for UW football.

Agree also on the WR coach hiring. Quality hire there, no doubt.

I think there are 2 points in time to pay attention to...around the weeks of February 8th, and June 6th.

If you were a guy who was going to transfer, wouldn't you do it between fall and spring semesters and not waste time somewhere practicing where you aren't going to play? I'm sure all the transfers haven't been announced but I know I've seen guys like Justice Murphy and James Price on campus and I thought they were going to be the ones out the door first. But that is just my :twocents: on the matter.

You have to announce a transfer then get permission to talk to other programs first , it's time consuming I would imagine.

Inevitably there are always a few guys gone after spring ball. They go in to the spring thinking they are going to be "the man" at their position. After a few weeks of realizing that they are #5 on the depth chart instead of 1 or 2, they get butthurt and leave. I would be pretty surprised if we don't lose anyone after spring ball, 2-5 is about the norm.

There has been quite a bit here ... at least compared to div 1 programs that I know the players parents.

WTH? Not hardly. I live in Byu and utah land and they have each had twice as much as we have had. This comment is nonsense.

Ya I also heard that after this year there might be several leaving , guess we will have to wait untill the school year to see if they are staying or going hard to say right now one way or the other. So wick was out most all the year due to concussion problems and possibly a lineman , I don't see them playing again . If you missed that much time with a injury like that it moves into brain damage senerio and it's highly recommend that you have no contact. Period. As far as the amount of carries hill had most of them so there was not many more to go around, even when wick was healthy it was like that , tapscott had the second or third amount of carries according to the stats , and ya like I said hill had alot , that's why it tapers off after him . Yes there has been good players leave by choice or not by choice that would of started and would of been great here , yes maybe they left before it all unraveled here but yes they did leave.
So you babbled for that long to say Hill gets the majority of the carries?

True that ....... so many of you guys like making things seem like what they are not , it's too funny actually. Lol , but I get a kick out of it ..... where else can you get entertainment like this around here. I've heard many are not picking up season tickets actually, might be a good idea to sit this sh t out for a few , that's what the wife said.. that means you guys sound like my wife I guess.

Was wondering what happened to Tapscott, anyone?

And, hey Hampshire, you tell your wife to STFU yet?

From what I can tell, nothing. Have seen nothing to indicate he joined another football program.

I couldn't find anything either. Kid probably made a very bad decision.
