Streaming cbssports

Consider a VeeSee box. You can get about everything, everything, with no subscription fee. You can get almost 100 ESPN+ channels.
My brother gave us one for Christmas. We use it to watch all the BIlls games which are not carried nationally or in our area. just have to connect to the local Buffalo station which is carrying the game. A little leery keep it connected to use it for anything more.

I read a little and they look cool. What's the safety and legality? I've read some (maybe overreacting) that say security is a major issue and they use illegal methods to pirate content.

I'm guessing they are just overreacting to minutia or is there cause for concern? I'm also old.

It's a gray area.

I have no idea. Several members of my golf club had them. I waited about a year to buy mine and have had it almost 2 years and no issues. I figured once Amazon started selling them I was safe. I bought mine from a guy in Casper who came to the house and set it up and gave us a tutorial. It’s been great.

We’re going to buy another with the subscription savings.

I wish I could get a commission on referrals.

This is the cool part. You can get the Buffalo station to watch Josh and the Cincinnati station to watch Logan. Or if you are a baseball fan you can get the San Diego station to watch the Padres. You can get early coverage of golf. You can get about any college football or basketball game. My cousins son is a pitcher at Utah Tech so I could get most of his games.

Sorry in advance for so many dumb questions, but you can get any channel? All the espn, cowboy channel (hey, I like the nfr), anything?

How hard is set-up?
Yep, the Cowboy Channel, RFD. And BYU TV, 😂. I watched the Casper Rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days, etc. You get CBSSN, FS1 and FS2. ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN News, all the ESPN + channels. You get 1000s of movies. You can get access to series, ie Yellowstone, Landman, Longmire as examples. Great for binge watching during Thanksgiving or winter snow storms.

I won’t say you might everything, but you’ll likely get a lot more than through a streaming service such as sling, YouTube tv, etc.

Simple set up, power cord and HDMI. Our golf pro takes his camping and watches through his hotspot on his phone. The box is relatively small. We take ours for AIRBNB homes when we travel or to my mother in laws in Nebraska at Christmas, etc. Fits in the glove box of the car.

It sometimes will buffer on some movies, but I have no regrets buying ours for the initial $300 and no additional costs. I’d do it again without a second thought.

You should get a commission, 😆 I'm getting one

$350 - $450 in cost, is that right? Any other costs associated? How in the living hell does it work?

Thanks in advance, I am old.
I’m old too.

This is a good description.

I used to use the Roku and pay for streaming about $110 a month for everything. Now I only pay for YouTube premium (not YouTube TV) because I like watching videos (music, video, live cameras, etc) without watching commercials so it’s the best under $25 a month deal and I don’t need subscriptions to pandora or Sirius.

I also switched to a 5G cell modem internet plan running much faster than the DSL I had and nearly as good as Cable internet which may be faster but at more than double to triple the cost with little noticeable benefit. I estimate I am saving over $1,000 per year from what I previously needed to maximize Wyoming watching on a TV.

As for the buffer issue, I find it’s a VeeSeeBox anomaly with recorded replays (movies and tv shows primarily - once in a while a live hiccup). Some things never buffer. I was never able to watch the MWC app on the Roku without being several minutes behind LIVE due to buffering meaning don’t use your phone for scores or game time posts if you want the suspense of seeing it as it happens. The VeeSeeBox will still be slower than the ESPN game tracker but within 30 seconds not 3-5 minutes.

I've got the Superbox - - its been great for movies/TV shows. However, it can glitch, lag or shutdown with live events. We have very good wifi, etc.

How is the VeeSee box for live streaming?
