Gowyogo started this.
WyoStateNews started this.

I didn't start shit.

I was just the first person to show pissed off emotions over this.

I would love to go to Coe and see what the fuck happens in 5 minutes, but I have some other obligations tonight.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ha! There he is. We snuffed him out via good ol' fashioned trolling.

Sidenote, it has been moved to 5:30. Supposedly Burman and Mckinney are there...so we know Burman aint going anywhere.

Don't shoot the messengers.

Back to the status quo....Berman as AD for the next 20 years.....DC as football guru.....and Wyoming is officially the biggest circle jerk in the country. The BOT reminds me of the US Congress....nothing but a bunch of old, rich white folk who can't stand the thought of change. Good luck to Sternberg in his further pursuits.

hahahaha The BOT is claiming they didn't force Sternberg to resign. He did it on his own. How stupid do they think we are?

The NEW president of UW....no, he isn't part of the good old boy club

that giant wind gust sound in laramie was actually a sigh of relief from burman and christensen. The target is now off them.

Okay Lord Sidious thank you we'll shut up and go back to work now. You'd like that, wouldn't you?

5:50 PMMike Vorel@mikevorel Bostrum said the athletic study is in the hands of AD Tom Burman.

5:55 PMMike Vorel@mikevorel Bostrum closed by saying the board will try to become "better listeners and hearers." #uwyo

Bold faced lie. I bet you they don't respond to one email.

This is really sad. I know he stirred the pot a bit. That's a good thing IMHO. He was ranked in the top 60 of Psychologists world wide. Maybe he wasn't cut out to be the president of a university - or maybe things backfired too much.

Regardless, we lost vision and hope today.

And 1988 will permanently be our last great year.

#5 in the nation in basketball that January.
#10 in the nation in football that November plus winning the WAC outright in Laramie on National T.V. (CBS vs. UTEP).

Kiss it all goodbye, guys. The show is over in Laramie.

I went to the press conference and I have a few questions left unanswered. First off just for those of you not there it seemed like this was a VERY popular decision with students as well as the faculty in attendance. My big question is if he "resigned" last night why did it take a 9 hour meeting to announce it? Also I saw from a couple media outlets that Sternberg said that he had not resigned and will not resign. IMHO he was forced out and they bought him out since they are paying his salary through next year. Also the board said they supported all personnel decisions that he had made, so then why would he feel the need to resign? For the first time I am extremely embarrassed to be a student at this university and don't see any positive coming from this. We have lost a president with great vision as well as a great hope to turn us into a premier university in all aspects. I will hope for the best, but I can see nothing good from this.
