Stephen Buchanan - Big Step on World Stage

Buchanan teched Olympic Champion Hassan Yazdani in the finals of the Zagreb Open. Very surprising result on the world stage and indicates Buchanan might be one of the best in the world right now and setting himself up for a 2028 olympic run.

Agreed. But keeping him was always a longshot when wrestlers with his talent now routinely make roughly $1 million a year at certain schools. Frankly, I just wish he would have won a national title at Wyoming instead of taking 3rd and later winning at Iowa.

That said, being a 4X All-American, National Champ and now one of the best in the world, hard to argue he isn’t the best wrestler ever to compete for Wyoming.
