Uso Olive-6'Ft 305lbs
Sidney Mulauulu (just butchered the poor kid's name)- 6'3 300lbs
Du'Ryan Ebbesen- 6'2 305lbs
Jacob English- 6'5 291lbs
Dalton Fields- 6'3 274lbs (a little light, but easily fixed)
5 guys, only 1 is an upperclassmen and all interior d-linemen about the size you want in an interior d-linemen.
For the 3-4 defense to be effective, you need a huge NT at about 6'4 320lbs (ideally) and 2 DEs that are basically 4-3 DTs. And outside linebackers the size of DEs.
It seems to me that the most successful defense we had had over the last 15 years or so was the 3-4 under Glenn. Both North Dakota and Directional Michigan ran the 3-4 to great effect against us. Do both of those teams have an easier time than us recruiting size? Were we all that big from '06 - '09? Who was our huge NT then? I thought the whole reason we switched was we had lots of linebackers and that was what you needed to run the 3-4?
