His "academics sliding" shouldn't be an excuse... Really. He was still a freshman/sophomore the classes aren't that hard.

My friend and I were at the Weber St.-Wyo game this last season, and as Weber got the lead I told my friend "what a way to start your D1 college career with a last minute comeback game winning drive".
Then he led them down the field, hit Herron in the corner for the game winner. After that we started discussing, if, at the end of his career at UW that is "just another" win, instead of a highlight, he will end up being in the NFL.
After watching him more and more last season, I think he will be a better college QB and NFL "prospect" than Alex Smith from the Utard Utes.
Calling this out, B. Smith goes #1 in the dradt in a couple years after he wins the Rose Bowl AND National Championship!
