OK, I get that he doesn't like up tempo because he can't stop it, but he should really watch his comments:
Someone in physiology at Alabama should probably point him in the direction of thousands of studies on smoking, level of smoking, etc. and how it relates to cancer.
Back to FB topic, however, it seems like the 10 second rule (i.e. offense can't snap in first 10 seconds of play clock) doesn't have much support. The whole basis is reduce the number of plays resulting in decreased exposure for player injury.
I wonder if Saban would support that if a rule was also in place, no defensive substitutions for the first five seconds of the play clock? My suspicion is that he just wants to be able to rotate those big ole boys in and out to keep them from wearing down.
