Second exhibition game today

The starting lineup for the exhibition against College of Idaho was:

Kobe Newton
Obi Agbim
Jordan Nesbitt
Cole Henry
Touko Tainamo

I would expect to see more of the same tonight.

This is CSP's first game of the season. They were picked 9th in the Northern Sun conference coming into the season and are returning 15(!) players from last year. The guy to watch will be Antwan Kimmons. He had a season ending injury last season after 8 games, but was putting up 15.5 points per game and shooting 41% from 3.

I expect to see Dontaie Allen in the starting line-up over Kobe Newton by the time conference play starts.

Kobe is a tremendous perimeter defender and sharp shooter. I appreciate the fact that he chose to stay at Wyoming after Linder left, but his ideal role is coming off the bench to provide a spark both defensively and offensively (from behind the arc).

Looking forward to seeing Tainamo against some stiffer competition. I guess that really won't happen until we travel to Lubbock to play Texas Tech. I think he will ultimately end up leading the team in scoring by doing all the little things right.

Agbim will have a 30+ point game sometime this season, but I think his scoring could be inconsistent.

I only saw a small sample size, but Allen didn't seem to put a ton of effort in on defense. He's certainly a capable player. I'll be interested to see how that plays out. If his defense is solid he'll play a bunch.

Totally agree with everything else. I think there's potential with this team.

Anyone else having issues streaming the game? My feed keeps going back ro 5:11 left in the Cowgirls' game...

Pokes ended up playing much better towards the end. Concordia hit a lot of threes to stay in it.

Eubeube needs to play a lot imo. Oleg kojonets sucks and should never play

Kojenets was 10-ply soft last year. 0 aggressiveness in the post. No reason to think that mindset has changed....

This Pokes team was fun to watch tonight! Love the effort, hustle, and heart they played with. Granted, the competition was probably not what we’ll see going forward, but I’ve been at many past games where we should have crushed a team like that and didn’t. Great win Sunny!

Wicks sandbagged this one. Playing time was pretty spread out. I think he made good use of the game to try out different lineups and skill sets. I noticed a disparity in defensive and offensive production as the lineup changed. Seemed we see-sawed a bit...

We have a lot of good athletes and can really rebound the ball. I was entertained.

We will have to play much better on defense and shoot the ball better from 3 to be competitive in the MWC this year.

I did appreciate the fact that they played hard and had good body language throughout the game.

I watched on the MWC stream. But I think this team will be really entertaining although probably not overly competitive in the MWC. On the stream, I never saw Wicks with his arms folded and pouting!

I would be thrilled if we can finish near the middle of the conference this year.

I am very interested to see if Sunny can keep this team focused and together when things get tough against better competition. Nesbitt's prior issues have been well documented. Ebube is a bit of a hot head. It will be a real test for Sunny this year.

Wicks chewed tinamo tukou’s ass once. Everyone could hear it

Ebeube is massive. I think he needs to get in better shape but he's already the most exciting player I've seen since that traitor Ike was here
He was incredibly energetic on the defensive end, too. Dude has Derrick Cooke energy in a big post sized body. He could definitely be a special player.
