The P12 GOR

PorkerPoke

Well-known member
Chris Murray obtained a redacted copy of the pee12 GOR.

Two items in particular to note:

1 - “The schools agreed to take responsibility for all debts, obligations and legal fees as a result of departing its previous conference (the MW schools owe a roughly $18 million exit fee); a subhead under this section is redacted and seems to indicate the Pac-12 will cover a portion of these fees”

2 - “A school can withdraw without penalty to join a Power 4 school upon the expiration of the grant of media rights, but if it joins a non-Power 4 conference upon that expiration, it would owe the Pac-12 three times the average conference distribution with more than a year's notice and six times that fee with less than a year's notice”

I interpret this as the traitors should be paying a significant if not the entirety of their exit fees and with the use of the clause with 3-6 times the conference distribution penalties the MWC could argue they copied the MWC legal process for leaving the conference so they DO know what they are doing.

They are doing what they can to protect the pee12 brand long term including a pay 2 times a conference distribution if leaving for a P4 conference which would be a nominal penalty.

Well wait……..isn’t the pee creating undue hardship on these poor schools choosing to sign this contract………….under duress.

Good get ragtime. Chris Murray is on this and a good resource. You won’t see anything investigative from a Wyoming source.

I really hope the MWC doesn’t fold on this mediation. The fees are what will keep the door open for MWC teams to be competitive and that’s why the pee12 wants to destroy them. They also know if they can destroy the best of the AAC it will leave them in the strongest position to argue for inclusion as a power group. The irony is that outside of Boise none of the pee12 has demonstrated a national power presence for years if ever and Memphis isn’t there yet.

When canzano asked the pee12 commissioner about mediation she really did get what looked to me like an uncomfortable feeling. Maybe having to respond to the question made her squirm and my hope is it will unravel some of the boisterous chest pounding about how great the pee12 is becoming. They are in a position of trying to convince everyone interested in paying the big bucks to join them on the premise the pee12 will be an instant reward and pathway to the power level. And for whatever things stated about Texas State being the next superpower it does zero for media value.

I hope of the traitors that csu and usu in particular are the bottom feeders with no way out and huge costs to try and compete.

Agreed. The pac and traitor lawsuits are almost comical in their hypocrisy. The pac 2 rejects literally just argued to hold the pac defectors accountable and are now arguing they shouldn't be. The defectors insist on buyouts while arguing buyouts aren't valid. Lol, make it make sense.

I hope the big 12 and acc restructure with wv cinci and ucf to acc while stanford cal and smu go big 12. Then big 12 expands by 2 or more (osu and bsu). This all happens in a year or two and the mwc holds.

I read the pee12 GOR closer today and picked up one thing in particular:

The pee12 in declaring the new members are responsible for all debts, losses, claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (but, excluding for avoidance of doubt, any scheduling agreement liabilities) including all attorneys fees and costs of litigation the pee12 prior to June 30, 2025 will provide REDACTED.

With the stay expiring July 15, I have to read into this that the pee12 is paying the traitors some sort of compensation to offset the cost of the exit fees since they specifically said no scheduling agreement liabilities. If there isn’t already an unannounced set settlement between the traitors and the MWC, the pee12 GOR itself implicates a financial involvement on or before the last day the traitors were MWC members which to me diminishes the argument the traitors were assessed unfairly and the pee12 under duress didn’t understand the poaching fees.

My point is this gives hope the settlement on the MWC exit fees should still be substantial and that the pee12 does expect to pay scheduling agreement penalties.

I am hoping the MWC let the pee12 paint the picture of understanding how penalties and fees work before a mediated settlement since July 1, 2025 required the GOR be signed upon official termination from the MWC. With the GOR the pee12 has imposed even stricter penalties the traitors all willingly signed while receiving potential compensation from the pee12 still as official members of the MWC.

I’m no legal mind but this says the arguments don’t have much value when the traitors signed up for more of the same while litigating a claim they weren’t being treated fairly and receiving financial assistance.

The friggin ewes at goat U fan board are squealing and arguing goat u should join the spuds lawsuit, with the GCU addition, is comical. Saying the MW basically is playing unfairly to the traitors. Have they smoked so much dope in Colon, or are they just too stupid to understand the addition is viability of the conference. What a bunch of morons. I will be so happy if the settlement inflicts full costs on the whole bunch! What a bunch of losers. I might be starting to dislike the goats more than byugly.

Haven’t seen more than a threat on this. The mediation expires in 5 days. If there is not something already signed regarding the exit fee lawsuit all the traitors can do at this point is try to get more $$ from the MWC in last minute negotiations.

I have been watching the docket with the poaching lawsuit in the California Northern court and there has been no new filings or modification to the 7-15-25 stay status as of 7-10-25.

This may be a big media cry victim issue but the traitors have to think long and hard if they want to go into litigation and rack up more legal fees because they have their own Pandora’s box issues with the pee12 GOR they signed which includes even stiffer penalties for the same thing they claim was unfair.

Hang on tight and cross your fingers the MWC comes away with a nice tidy sum announcement from the mediation by Tuesday 7-15 and the traitors start crapping their pants over paying all the bills which will eat up any increase in revenue they were planning to get. There have been a lot of components (official pee12 business) to resolve which is why the mediation process seems like it has been doing nothing.
