SDSU

That’s the $1.5 million dollar question that Sawful can’t answer.

This staff recruited Sims as the backup and never really intended to use him unless necessary. In desperation they decided that maybe he was an option. He looked promising in minimal opportunity. It’s over for this year and only time will tell. Maybe these coaches will make a serious assessment if they have on the roster the next man up that is a playmaker. Could it be Drube?

For the past 10 years all we can brag about in a QB that was more than severely one dimensional is Peasley who was benched by his coach at USU who went on to win the MWC with his replacement. At least we had a best Bohl 9 win season in Peasley year 2, but there wasn’t a serious challenge for the conference title.

I guarantee you that if Wyoming would have hired a Jason Eck instead of Sawful, the entire offense would have been reviewed. I just hope that Jovon is allowed to identify and recruit the offense playing the best players. We will then find out if he is the real deal as an OC or not.

Sticking with the same old same old new year same old story is not producing results and that is why I concur with “who wants to come to Wyoming with above average skills” when being surrounded with mediocrity would be an enjoyable experience buzz kill.
Can anybody answer that question?

Otherwise...got it...Wyoming is in the category of teams that are, in general, hindered by thier QB. Our coaches are not alone in this. It's not unusual for college coaches (even good ones) to struggle to find difference makers at that position. I could throw a dart into 20 random college football message boads and hit this same topic every year. Every fan base thinks they alone are missing out on the low hanging fruit in each recruiting class. Wyoming is not snakebit here...it's normal.

I think the the QB position and offensive system at Wyoming since Bohl got here has been largely stuck in neutral. Now, Bohl specifically was very good at a lot of other things that meant we were an ok team but that ability appears to be absent in Sawful.
