Apparently they are considering restarting football at the FBS level. If so they would be a great addition but that would take a few years.ItSucksToBeACSURam said:Any chance we can steal Wichita State for basketball?

Rice and UTEP we need to think about. SMU should be that tier. Tulane as well
Gonzaga should headline a group of non football members. Candidates should include Wichita st, creighton, Denver, long beach st, Pepperdine, San Francisco
The biggest thing expansion should do for mw is be the first conference to do a 4 or 8 team playoff
Coeur d' Alene said:Football- 4 divisions of 5 teams. 16 team playoff. 4 team toilet bowl into consolation
Each conference team plays their 4 division games and 4 rotating cross division match ups. no conference member can play a 1AA teams and will then try to schedule 3 p5 programs. 11 game schedule

It's not all about what schools have been. It's their potential when given a bump. Expanding the conference to the Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Memphis, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Portland, Seattle markets could be a great thing is why you risk doubling. I think doubling is safe for those football only schools because the tourney seeds would be sure to double.
Wyoming would be in a great spot to have a chance at a top 8 seed (Division winner) in the 32 team bracket every year.

I'm going to disagree with you. Hawaii not only makes a great away trip! Which is a great excuse for a vacation around attending an away game. But also it would also give Wyoming an extra home game = extra $$$. Apparently Tom Burman didn't realize that when asked about it and did not plan on scheduling an extra home game. Hawaii was a way worse addition than SJSU IMO. I hate playing that game, may as well play on the moon.
