REGIS...

Outside of already having less talent, is going to be really tired today. Outside of losing by 30 to Metro State last night, their game ended at 9:30. They play the Pokes today at 2:00pm. Expect a lot of Bench players today.

Pokes better destroy this team and get their heads right for the Cal game.
Hold Regis to like...40

If Metro can hold them to 52, we "should" hold to 30 or 40.

I expect to see our starters get a rest today, and see a lot of our Bench. I'm hoping we get to see at least 15-20 min of Gorski. Herndon may have a big game too.

We might need the starters to play a little bit more then we'd like to just to get more rhythm. I mean Nance just really struggled last game and I feel like Adams hasn't quite hit his stride yet either this season. I wouldn't mind them getting more reps in just to stay fresh for this upcoming Cal game.

Guess no one cares about this game today lol. Glad the bench guys are getting lots of minutes. Hopefully they pull away even more in the 2nd half.

I agree that the starters need to get more into rhythm but this is not the game to do. I would rather not have the starting 5 play 25 minutes just to win 100-25.

The team should be fine for Cal. That falls on coaching, and the players. They dropped the ball at SMU due to it being the first road game and due to playing a team who actually came to play for once this season.
The out of rhythm argument might have something to it if we had a brand new starting 5, but when we have a team who has been practicing and playing together for 3 years, the rhythm argument for SMU shouldn't have anything to it.

Pokes didn't show up to play a road game against a good team. They will on Wednesday. Without a doubt in my mind.

Cal is without two players today I guess against Nevada. Bird is still out for them.

Yeah I would like to see the bench play the rest of the game

Bring on Cal. We need this win against the Pac12 team.

The rest of the MWC might not be carrying their weight, but odds are CU and Cal will be among the better Pac12 teams, and if we end up being one of the better MWC teams, having wins over CU and Cal will be GREAT for us.

SDSU is not going to be punished for losing to Arizona, but if we can't go get a solid OOC road win, that may hurt us.

Hope the pokes are ready.

Good news is we have won in the bay area before.

Pis is me, or was Gorski probably the most selfish shooter on the team. He made some, but missed a lot and took some of the most contested/out of position shots when there were other guys open? He's a good player, but like the TV guys said, he's always looking to score.

He had several opportunities. And generally Shyatt looks to the extra pass, if Shy thinks he's selfish he'll coach him out of it. I'm more disappointed with Lieberman. For a kid who couldn't miss in HS, he sure can't hit squat so far as a Cowboy. I don't know if it's nerves or what, but I'm more happy to have Gorski force up shots and make half of them than have Lieberman missing practically everything.

I bet Gorski was told to shoot a lot today. He didn't have his splint on for the first time and was playing bad competition so I wouldn't be surprised if he was told to shoot a lot and get in his rhythm for once.

I think Gorski still had the splint on his finger. Regardless, he did take one or two shots too quick, but overall I think he plays good team ball. Lieberman is supposed to be the 2nd best shooter on the team (I'm guessing Gorski is the best). Having said that, he needs to show it. He is great at handling and passing the ball, but could be a threat if his shot comes around.

Impressed with Barnes. He looks more comfortable on the offensive end.

listened to this one from start to finish and I like that they all got PT but our starters still need to kick it up a notch, just my opinion...

Agree. The starters definitely need to pick it up.
