Like the article says, I'm not sure the NFL allows a team in Vegas.
I think the gambling concern is overblown.
$$$ still talks in LV...and I agree, the gambling concern is overblown, and so 1970.
IF, and it is a big IF, the NFL green-lighted the Raiders moving to LV, it would be absolutely monumental for UNLV football.
So UNLV could play in an empty pro stadium in front of their 15k fans?
Yeah, I'm not sure how it would help UNLV, unless they got access to some better football facilities. From a market perspective they will have competition for football fans.

Imagine if in 1950, Wyoming thought, what the hell, we only average 8,000 fans per game...so why build a bigger stadium that would seat 20,000 - we don't need it.
If UNLV gets a close-to-campus (or on campus) NFL caliber stadium to play in, it will be a game changer...no doubt about it. To think otherwise is just being blindly jealous. Doesn't matter who plays there on Sunday...pretty sure if it were to happen, there would be a substantial increase in attendance (and fanbase).
