Pokes vs Mountain Hawks

I know it's on tv for those that have satellite and can find it, but we need to use our altitude to our advantage, play our game and show these Hawks what life's about at 7200 feet. I am still stoked we get to play, it can only do wonders for our younger players and I can see Leonard, Larry having huge games tomorrow!!!! I plan on being there, and hoping that all others in a 50 mile radius come out (perhaps) one last time and show these guys how proud we are of them and let's beat the Mountain Hawks!!! GO POKES...
UW- 69 Lehigh 63, they run outta gas

They only run out of gas if we make them move all the time. Pokes do that by moving around a lot themselves, making the Hawks follow them. Haven't seen much of that (moving around) lately.

Oh, by the way Shyatt, let the boys take a shot if they are wide open even if there isn't less than 10 seconds left on the shot clock. Hey, Delerious, pass the ball to an open man if you see one.

Have you been watching these game?. Everyone takes a shot if they are wide open. Adams slashes and gets fouled. Our BIGS have been playing better down low. The Boss generally makes the right decisions. And we suck at Free Throws.

The one thing you are right about, and I completely agree with, Gilmore Will hold the ball for the last ten sec's of the clock and through up a 25-30 contested three pointer.

Don't confuse the rest of this team with D. Gilmore.

The game will be on channel 340 (direct tv) on something called AXS tv. I'll be watching with a group of Lehigh alumns. Should be a great night to don the brown and gold!

2013 College Basketball Invitational Presented By Buick: NCAA Men's Division I Post-Season Tournament
First Round Game 2 - Lehigh University Mountain Hawks at University of Wyoming Cowboys in Laramie

You can check and see if they have a station in your area, It's in Laramie but since AXS is broadcasting it no school stream :(

don't tell everybody in this geographical area otherwise we'll be lucky to have 1500 people (j.k.) hopefully 4000 or so, I betcha the Ladies out draw the guys this week, kinda sad

Denver metro area game on COMCAST channel 664. Strangely game is not mentioned in the Denver Post sports page with all the TV and radio listings of games.

Looks like Lehigh is good at shooting 3's and defending against 3's and stealing the ball. But not so good at offensive rebounding (something that opponents really hurt the Pokes with in recent games, in my opinion). So I'm thinking it has the potential to be a close game.

I would have to say that Shyatt's game plan is to take every possession deep into the shot clock and try to shorten the game as much as possible. Since the loss of Luke and the injury to Washington, as well as the sickness Nance had;Wyoming has been a different team. Before conference play they pushed the ball and took advantage of slower transition teams. Since all of the trouble they do not push the ball and they hold it late into the shot clock and end up getting a very poor quality look. It seems as though we are playing "not to get beat" rather than "playing to win". Two different mentalities all together. Wyoming is not the aggressive team that was on the floor earlier in the year. JM2C WORTH.

Lehigh is going to be without another guard tonight who didn't make the trip. Bj Bailey I believe is his name. Looks like he shoots the 3 ball well and gives them a little over 8 ppg. That will give them less depth than they already have. Wyoming being at home should win this game since Lehigh is missing a couple of players but it could still be a close game.

I'm taking Wyo ML and under. You?

The Pokes are scoring. And quickly. It doesn't seem like they are waiting for 30 seconds. They are schooting after 10-20 seconds in the shot clock. Nice.

Seems like they are sinking three's so they are opening up the inside quite well. Playing some decent defense too.

Larry Nance is one of the key players tonight. I like seeing that. He has had some fouls and some turnovers which suck but he is scoring as well. Good to see next years leader being the main guy.

They are dropping the 3's - its allowing him to get inside and score. We are 86% from the 3pt line right now with 7 min to go in the half. But heck ya - go Nance - go Cooke!
